I am 17, in high school. Always had a passion for cars. I can draw okish. Studying science in 11th I plan to get a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering then do Masters in Automobile design. I sketch regularly and am not shy. Finishing my studies will take at least 9 years from now. At that time I hope the world will be back to where it is. How do you think I should continue? Other than design I like the technical mechanics of the cars like topics about how to decrease energy loss and how to increase the efficiency of the engine. I would like your advise on how should I continue. Thanks.

Really informative Video sir !! I would like to add up that I have seen people focusing on particular skills some like to sketch some like to work on clay, some of them would like doing clay modelling. I have also heard this from industry people that one should at least master one skill. But coming from a Automotive design college background we students are always bounded with loads of assignments and couldn't focus on one skill. This thing affects a lot and we students fail mastering skills. I would like to know your opinion on this. Secondly coming towards making your way in automotive design jobs, can you make a video which will explain transportation design in a birds eye view, where we can get to know more about designing for niche market, such as no one talks about designing commercial vehicles, military purpose vehicles, snow bikes, etc. Is there any scope or any company where we can get a place to work or internships?
@BerkKaplanDesigner4 жыл бұрын
Hi Pushkar, great comment! I understand you. Today everything is full of competition. That's why there are more and more requirements. You don't have to master all skills, for being a designer the most important one is finding new ideas. Creativity is the first. Then you need to show it. You can show by sketch, photoshop, 3d, clay. So here it will be up to you a little bit. To get good on all, it is better to work `smart`. so you need to search different sources to learn better and best. This is exactly why I created my courses. Did you get my Photoshop course or car design 101 course? Check them out on description to work smarter and be better .
