I’m an egalitarian and I thought this was actually a pretty great message. I think it would be even better if egalitarians weren’t made to feel like a corpse or two headed monster marriage. Further, he didn’t read Eph 5:21⎯ all the things he said about the wife supporting, encouraging and respecting her husband could be said to the husband too! If God is an ezer then how can a man not also be an ezer?

Josh I love ur sermons,and i really needed to hear this msg, but saying a two headed body is a freak is a bad analogy. There are people with two heads that actually are stronger together and if u pull them apart they will die, and I think Thats a better analogy. "Freak" is not a nice word, and like u said it better to reach the one lost sheep then send them away.

The dictionary LITERALLY gives the definition of the word freak as: 1.a very unusual and unexpected event or situation. 2.a person, animal, or plant with an unusual physical abnormality. A two headed body IS a freak of nature, meeting both forms of the dictionary definition of the word. it is a factual word, not an insult.
