Hola. I just finished Geuss’ intro to Crit Theory, which is another tour de force of concise writing coming in at 95pgs, after watching the series of lectures you had recommended with the Nietzsche episodes. Looking forward to starting this one.

@@ideasmatterpod yeah, it’s the second one in their Cambridge European modern thought series after Charles Taylor’s book on Hegel. Looking forward to the episode on history and illusion. I am glad this episode was on a thinner book; I’ll have some chance of having caught up in advance of the next one.

Geuss is an interesting philosopher and theorist, but his not-entirely-rational hatred for John Rawls and Robert Nozick sometimes leads him astray.
