Too many people are sleeping on this abridged series. It's easily as good or better than the SAO one but for some reason no one reacts to it anymore.

SAO Abridged has the advantage in that the original SAO is widely loathed, so the abridged looks better by comparison. Also, new episodes for this abridged take forever, which means ppl lose interest.

@@akiranara6404 SAO Abridged takes over a year these days and the original is mostly hated as a meme. Usually the haters haven't watched past the first episodes or sometimes haven't even watched the show. IMO Canon SAO is just average at first and gets slightly better over time. The abridged isn't that much more entertaining. Frankly I don't think that they are in the same genre anymore.

@@gbemilekeitabiyi2280 True, but the memes about SAO's horridness do contribute to the Abridged's popularity. Also, Danmachi Abridged doesn't even update once a year like SAO Abridged does, which significantly hurts its mindshare. And also probably damages its standing with the Algorithm, which doesn't seem too fond of Yaro anyway.

the thing about SAO abridged is that it has really ingenious writing. this ones really close though. also SAO was great from the 1st episode while this series struggled to figure itself out (I say as a huge fan of this series, that ep 1 editing was awful) and that can leave a bad first impression, which is the most important when you want viewers to stay. also SAO has some team4star involvement...that's simply speaks for itself
