I am a big soundtrack listener. The soundtrack for Belle was honestly mindblowing how good it is. The sound is mixed in a way I've never heard before, and the vocals are outstanding. Its been almost a year of listening to it and its still my favorite album by a long shot (edit:) i dont listen to the album everyday for a year. i actually restrict how much i listen to it because i dont want to overplay it and ruin it for me. this is the first time ive ever had my favou songs be far from my top played songs

0:12 This line really resonated with me. I lost my mom at 13 and reacted similarly to Suzu. A couple classmates would tell me ever day how they were sorry for my loss and then start laughing. I stood up to them and told them to stop. They replied in a snarky way "what don't you miss your mom?" Loss is huge and everyone reacts to it differently so we shouldn't minimize anyone's greving process. I really enjoyed this movie

It's like a modern day Japanese version of Beauty and the Beast when you really think about it. A beautiful and talented girl bonds with a beast of sorts, falls in love, and helps the beast in a way only she can. I know I'm not the first to admit it, but Belle herself is gorgeous in U. Sometimes I feel like the Dragon... Shunned, mocked, and even hated by some. I'd rather not go into detail, but I can say there was someone in my life who was basically Belle. She even saved my life a long time ago. I owe her so much for that.

SPOILERS: This was the most brutal takedown of the Big Bad I've seen in quite a while. A lesser movie would have gone for violence, or a team up beating. But no, Suzu just comes into her own and stands up to him, making him fundamentally realize and understand just what kind of person he is. And it breaks him. No punch or kick could ever defeat him totally like that.

I just came home from watching this movie and it really is so good! The music, the visuals/art, and the story line combined makes it into such a beautiful film. I been seeing a lot of criticism on it about the plot and story line being terrible and i completely disagree i think people coming up with that argument just don’t know how to connect the dots when it comes to movies like this. Not everything needs to be explained in fine detail, and not every single character needs to have a backstory. Which is why i felt the biggest urge to leave this comment in support of this movie and to put it out there that even if it doesn’t end up being your favorite movie it is worth a watch. Now excuse me while i spend the rest of the day listening to the ost 😭♥️
