I think, one of the things not mentioned is creating templates for video editing. I have a template for each of my different types of videos which makes it easier for me to just drag my clips and drop them in my editing timeline. In my templates, my intro is in place as well as my end card and outro. I also have placeholders for all of my text with all the necessary animations, and all I have to do is type in my new text.

Here is a TIP: find something that drives and motivates you pushes you to want to do more, film something everyday, even if its just a min long, use the shots later. use clips from old vids.

My tip for being consistent is to shoot a couple of extra videos which you can publish when you don't have time to shoot a new video in time. By doing that you can still stay consistent and serve your subscribers by keeping your publishing schedule.

once upon a synth I agree! When I batch shoot, I try to make sure I get plenty of rest and get up and have a lot of energy that day so it comes across on the footage. I can tell the difference when I'm just having to shoot video because I think I'm behind or a little stressed. It shows up.

I'm literally sitting here typing notes. Thank you Sean! As a new KZbinr, what's helped me get a handle on the type of content I want to put out (and a tip I was glad to hear you mention) is writing out a list of video ideas for the month, along with the main points I want to hit in each video. For instance, if I want to post 1 video per week on my health and fitness channel, I list out week 1: "What I Ate This Week"- macros for each meal, costs, prep/cook time , week 2: "Fitness Fashion Look Book"- which clothing company, costs, comfort level, etc. Basically, you fail to plan and you plan to fail!

As the biggest Navy KZbin Channel ,, i've realized Batch Recording doesn't work for me :/ but thats okay! Everyone has their own style and creative process ! For me i can only focus on 1 or 2 major projects or "videos" per day. I get creative burnout easy after the 2nd video and to be honest I like the satisfaction of editing the video right away :) Keep up the great content !!

I landed here four years later, and thank goodness I did a batch shoot for my first few videos! Sean, same thing I said on Nick Nimmin's channel: you two have allowed me to 'punch fear in the face' and to take action on a project I wanted to do 2.5 years ago (which was to start a KZbin channel, and share what I know as a teacher). Thanks, and keep doing what you do!

Batching is great. I also do a few "takes" of each video and use the best one. I'm better at talking than editing so this simplifies my A Roll editing and saves time on that end of the process. An extra hour in front of the camera saves me lots of hours editing.

Well, I just started a month ago....but so far.....I've learned that scheduling time on my days off, when I'm not rushed for better lighting produces better pictures. I'm just starting out, but my thought was that as soon as I write a Blog Post/Article or Course material turn that into an outline so I already know what I don't feel so overwhelmed trying to come up with more content. Thanks for the info. This really helped me create my Workflow for this, which is one I was struggling with. I hate reinventing the wheel every time and so if I can create a Workflow/Checklist that works with some modifications along the way I do it.

I'm really thankful for this video, I totally hadn't thought of all of the aspects to batch producing. And, I have a 40/hr a week job that requires all morning shifts so I'm up early during the other 2 days which allows me time to think of ideas and create outlines for videos. One thing I completely let slip past me until this video was, EXTRA BATTERIES!! I have sd cards like 4 of them and they are ok size but, seriously the batteries I hadn't thought about and for the cheap camera I have. The price is amazing as well so it'll definitely help me get into a consistent schedule with my videos. Thank you so much, again for making this video. :)

Batch recording is the best thing to do. I work fulltime and sit on non profit boards. My videos go live every Sunday at 9 am. So i write scripts every sunday night and then record whenever I can. Also, doing all of the pictures at one time helps a lot. Since I dont have different channels, I have different shelves, when I introduce a new shelf I try to be 9 weeks out with videos so I dont get behind. Great vid keep it up.

I have only recently started to take my KZbin channel seriously (uploading weekly, interesting intros, interacting with viewers) I mostly didn't take it so serious because I wasn't really sure how to get the idea I had in mind across to the viewer. Your channel has definitely helped me to rethink the way I film, edit and produce my content.

Thanks for the tips. I usually try to dedicate a day of the week or so to film and edit as I only do this during my own time while I still have a full time job. I try to have my content ready before the film day and I manage to post a video each week. There are videos that I'm less happy with as there are some weeks that I'm more busy than others where I have less energy to film. But I make a promise to my viewers on my channel that I try my best to post once a week other than if I'm out of town. :) I keep myself motivated each week to film by watching youtube videos like your's during my breaks at work.
