Sounds like good advice. I am trying to learn as much as I can to make channel it can be. My channel is about rants and reviews. Is that too vague? I review different products. I starting reviewing different sodas and I will be expanding to other beverages. I am working out so I will be reviewing different post and pre work out drinks. Is that vague or should I stick to sodas? I figure they are all beverages or related to it. Thoughts?

Appreciate the helpful info. I think you have to find a happy medium between being focused and painting yourself into a corner. You always want to have the opportunity to cover different topics, or variations on your theme, so you’re not limited to the point of being a one trick pony.

Me and my friend started this channel, and are trying to constantly up our quality of content. We are trying to have a more consistent upload schedule too, but its kind of demotivating when we aren't being found or getting any feedback

So, I feel your pain on the feedback part. Looks like you have been going for a while now, so this might not apply anymore, but I would reach out to people you trust, and ask them to view your videos and give you honest feedback. I would also recommend watching your videos yourself and looking for areas you see that could be improved. I know I am my biggest critic, and each video I have uploaded I always see things I can improve on, areas I improved on from my last video, and usually some areas I regressed in as well. It is all a process.

What about lifestyle channels? Are they considered un-focused? I am a mommy who loves makeup, being a mommy to my little boy, sharing recipes, doing product reviews, baby favorites, etc... I look at channels like Anna Saccone and she was able to do it but based on this video my channel is not specific enough... On KZbin i'm basically a gaming channel and i'll upload things that are out such as Fortnite and more. There's things i should change or do differently but It's hard to fix it as a small channel.
