@@NoNo_IStay AR’s don’t really have recoil. The muzzle goes up, but nothing really comes back. Some military range instructors demo that by placing the butt of the stock on their nads and firing. Lol. But you’re right, there is something there that a 22 can’t provide.

Thanks, John for your testimony! Corrie Ten Boom is special to me too. Corrie Ten Boom shared the gospel message to my friends, Geert and Martien when they were 16 years old. Martien's grandpa built the "Hiding Place." Geert and Martien are missionaries sharing the gospel to the Jewish people. I met the couple in Garden City S.C and surprising to both of us, they knew my friend Cornelius Vanderbriggen. Cornelius, we called him Cornnie, was a leatherneck in World War 2. After the war , Corrie Ten Boom visited Cornnie Vanderbriggen in Holland. God gave Cornnie a special ministry called "The Reapers Fellowship," located in Hiawassee, Ga. Cornnie passed away a few years ago but the ministry is now being carried out in Charleston,S.C Thanks again for your work, may God continually bless your work! Gerald

Thank you so much for this! On the 24th of last month, I lost most of my physical possessions to a house fire, thankfully noone was home at the time. The books, photos, music, writing, guns, food and supply preps, ammo, all gone. The few items I had with me that day were my carry gun, a family board game, and the Bible. The next day though it was unplanned, I proposed to the women I was courting in front of the smouldering ruins and we were married that night! There are so many lessons to learn from this but haveing lost the earthly treasures, I gained a family in Messiah, HalleluYah! I am so grateful to our Heavenly Father!

Modern society has a warped definition of "Religion". The TRUE, and Biblical definition is: James 1:27 NKJV Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. The garbage that Catholics go through is Political militant Ideology, and has nothing to do with True Christianity.

Or maybe it's because he worked really hard and earned that position of influence, and his faith is just one component of what makes him who he is. Lots of people share his faith and don't achieve what he has achieved. And plenty of others have reached levels of success similar and even greater than John and they have either zero faith or faith that is antithetical to his. Long story short, while his faith has undoubtedly helped him along the way, it is certainly not the only reason for his success and to assume so discredits all the hardwork he and his team have done.

During times of trial I set an alarm on my phone for every single day, right in the middle of the afternoon at 3pm to remind me to be grateful. So every day at 3pm, I stop what Im doing and think of a handful of things to be grateful for. On bad days, I start with the breath in my lungs and the heartbeat in my chest and it grows to the food on my plate and the sunrise and the good people in my life and before I know it Ive recited just a library of things that I can be grateful for and more times than not Ive been rescued from the pits of despair and this negative outlook by the simple act of thanking God for what he's given me and choosing to be grateful.

I too watch the Christmas Carol and have read it a few times. What a lot of people don't know is Scrooge didn't became his humbug self overnight, he wasn't always a miser, he had a lot of set backs, loss of a beloved sister, loss of a fiance, and becoming a partner in a lending business. He grew to love money not people because they hurt him or things didn't go the way he expected them to go. The great part of the story was he was redeemed and he enjoyed that he was saved and he shared his wealth. I have to say I shed a tear on your video. I've been diagnosed by the VA with depression, possibly a service connected thing (though the VA denies that weird huh?). I can't tell you the last time I was happy for longer than 5 minutes. Recently the executor of my mom's estate avoided my numerous requests to buy my mom's house and let someone else buy it. (is that discrimination against a disabled Vet?). So I just expect to be screwed by the VA and others, so I don't worry about bad things anymore, they just happen and I'm still here. I expect next year things will be better. I struggled with the depression to finalize a Christian Children's Story I wrote. It'll be an ebook at first (never will I sell it on Amazon). I applied for the copyright on Dec 6, and I have to purchase the ISBN from my meager credit union account. Thanks for the story. You look better without the beard.

I read Corrie Ten Boom's book many many years ago and in the followings years watched the movie about her life. What an inspiration. There's no doubt that she found joy through her experience, and an experience that we cannot even begin to fathom. So much of what we esteem to do is truly geared towards chasing happiness. Your words of encouragement to be grateful in everything, I believe can lead to happiness and even more importantly, joy. Thank you for your message. Although I'm not actively chasing after happiness, I am caught up in my thoughts and feelings with the negativity around me and within. Hour by hour I stack more and more worry on top of my over burdened shoulders, attempting to carry my and the world problems on top of them. Ever more noticably heavier and on bended knee, your YT video caught my eye. Your message has planted a seed. A new life routine i will latch on to. To set goals every morning for myself that are in variety and will shape different aspects of my personal growth so as not stay long on one thing or another only to neglect what may be needed more urgent today. All of this after i have lifted my prayers up to the Lord seeking his guidance as I often forget to do. How arrogant of me to think i know better lol. Today's goal is..... To not chase happiness. Instead sit down, stop, if need be, take some relaxing deep breaths and mindfully focus on releasing the negative, breath in the positive and allow happiness to catch me. Every day is precious sand God is with me, always. All of the Glory to God for blessing me through others offering messages of peace, hope and gratitude. Stopping me in my hectic steps to remind me to slow down and breath. And I'm letting that happiness catch me today. Thank you, Sir. Your message was what i really needed to hear today. Understand that what you do, matters to some of us and it's positivity is what our lives out here on the other side need badly. I appreciate you. Being born and raised into a culture where men are not supposed to openly feel things, much less, express them aloud. This is something I refuse to believe or participate in. We men feel things just as much and as deeply as the female kind. We silently carry unspeakable burdens trying not to show weakness when it's too heavy to carry. Sometimes we need to stop, put it down momentarily, sit ourselves down, rest of bones and breath to refocus. Men are proud creatures but it's ok to rest. If you don't take care of yourself, both physically and mentally, you can't take care of those you love as effectively. Men, take your time outs as needed. It's that important. Good bless..... Good day, Sir

Great job Sir! You make a wonderful point about gratitude, it made me stop and think. I'm grateful for an incredible wife; an awesome son and daughter-in-law; that I'm a Texan and an American. All of those things bring me great joy!

You can actually get joy for free very easily. Go to your local food bank, animal shelter, church, YMCA, or whatever and volunteer your time. The feeling you get from helping others is unlike anything else. “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35)

The sufferings we endure now, makes the things to come that much more joyful. Its not always happiness, as it is a happenstance thing. But to be satisfied in what you have, even in the small things, will be that much greater when things become great. Gratitude and Contentment in all things. And in that, it shines through and becomes an inspiration for others in dark times.

Merry Christmas brother! I have found peace and solitude through Christ since I was much younger. As I was watching your video I’m saying happiness is different than peace and then you broke it out and spoke of our Savior! Perfect. Wishing you and yours the best this Christmas and a New Year filled with blessings and good health! Keep the videos coming, love em.

AMEN !! One of the greatest messages you could possibly put out there, that TRUE JOY is NOT found in circumstances but in the ETERNAL HOPE OF JESUS CHRIST. I too can attest to this out of personal experience! Praise God ! Faith in Jesus is an "anchor for the soul" or that "safety net" as you put it, that allows us to maintain joy no matter what our circumstances might look like at the moment. Thanks for sharing this much needed message of hope this season. God bless !
