Being bipolar I have a lot of intrusive thoughts that tell me I’m not saved, that everything I do as a Christian is just an act. It’s not easy to worship with thoughts like that, but I remind myself that God doesn’t expect us to be emotional or theatrical in our praise. My worship is very silent, usually just singing worship songs in my car as I drive to and from wherever I need to go.

I don't think it's possible for any of us to fully appreciate God's gift, but that doesn't mean we're not saved. We're saved by God's grace in Christ Jesus, through faith (aka believing and *trusting* in God), not through complete understanding of how great God's gift is. Understanding is good, but it isn't the same as faith.

what helped me was to go to a place in my house that was closed off from other people, get down on my knees and speak out loud all of my deep problems to god and tell him how your feeling deep down and that you want him to save you. another thing is getting into the bible and trying to read it almost everyday. the real way to get over sin is to get closer to god and love all the things he loves, if you do that you’ll start to hate all the things he hates.

A lady once stopped me as i working and asked do i know or love God and i said yes. But i remember her face was almost glowing and like a warmth. She followed up with do you go to church and i said currently no but I use to. She replied with you should come back to church and left. Sometime passed and i bought a bible and recently ive come back to church but mostly important ive finally given it all to Jesus, salvation comes through Jesus and im forever changed. No longer do i desire the things i once of the flesh i use to desire.
