All these people saying how you need to play more and you will be better naturally and tutorial like this is so basic, yady yada. i have seen individuals playing this game for years but still, they play like noobs often. You see tips like this are extremely useful when you consciously put the effort, most of the time new players playing with bad players, as a result, they adapt to their playstyle, consequently makes them a bad player no matter how many years they have been playing this game, because a lot of the movements and timing becomes subconscious, cause you no longer thinking consciously in the battle, your skills are muscle memory. Therefore videos like this will help beginners setup the right foundation to become a 5x better player than those playing this game for years. With that being said ICY my bro keep making these videos it is definitely helpful for the community.

Honestly avexys said it best, the only way to get better is to pay attention to the mistakes you make and critique your own gameplay. Self-awareness is important
@shathan1233 жыл бұрын
Right. Conscious EFFORT becomes rewarding later. It’s not always FUN trying to learn and go out of your comfort zone but it’s NECESSARY to improve. You have to think and push yourself. Try maybe once a week focusing on one aspect of your game and then move onto another when you feel like you’ve gotten results. You have to really be patient too and realize sometimes things take time. It’s important also to take breaks and chill. Muscle memory and skills really set in during sleep. So get plenty of rest too!

@@showbo378 I agree with that... Like now days I'm a pretty decent player and like I got there by taking ass whoopings lol.... but I would kinda be like "okay I did this wrong" or "I did that wrong"... I mean I'm still making mistakes to this day,you always are learning no matter what

Would be awesome if you could do a shotgun tutorial on how to counter peoples common moves. Like if someone walks to wide left of cover to get a shot on you for example. I sometimes fall victim to some of the most simple moves. It gets frustrating sometimes lol.

Its so crazy how people do have tendencies or common moves lol. Like i find that after playing gears since 1 that people still dont check corners 🤣🤣 i have killed literal thousands cuz they just run through everywhere and i pop out last second BANG 😭😭

Great shooting advice , you broke it down into logical categories ( pop shot , hip shot ,hold aim shot ,when to use left stick and right stick shots , corner shots and the icing on the cake , the pro shot ) and then explained the pros and cons of each category .........clean , accurate and complete......like your playing style , mucho gracias amigo! Nice tutorial man. I personally didn't need any of the tips but its good to get this in the hands of people who may not know or understand how any of this works. I'd recommend doing a tutorial on shotgun timing and pacing.
@tbohacker3 жыл бұрын
Completely agree, distance and timing are by far the most important things in gnasher fights. IE when close distance for chunk vs retreat to safety OR when maintain distance after having health advantage. So many people just blindly sprint into chunk range at every single fight with no thought.
@Nephilim_JR3 жыл бұрын
@@tbohacker That and just the shotguns pacing for strafing. You need to be quite particular with when you move to the other direction or fake movements. Its definitely something most pros will never talk about because its like a secret that will change the way people will expect the direction the enemy goes in.
@tbohacker3 жыл бұрын
@@Nephilim_JR yea totally. Timing bounces and strafe with shot cadence and knowing your opponents "weak" side is something many people don't consider. I think even with that information most people would still struggle. It definitely takes a conscious effort to make it part of your game, at least initially.

Just started watching your videos man. Great tips and content. Been playing gears ever since the first one online. Always around “diamond 3/masters” going off current Gears. Where I am going with this is you use relevance and comparison well. Using different scenarios is huge too, definitely like that about your videos! The secret you mentioned reminded me right away of quick scooping in a sense for FPS games. But did not know that existed in the gears world. -All around, best Gear’s videos I’ve ever seen for advice/tips/guides. 👍🏻🙏🏻
@brian_unx3 жыл бұрын
I would like to see more about proper positioning. I tend to think of things like keeping right side advantage but I'm not even sure that exists anymore. I felt like I had this down better in gears 4 but not getting on top of it as well in 5. As others have commented, I often feel like it's so obvious to people how to counter me, I'll try to strafe or bounce out of the way but often find myself immediately downed, like why did I even try to move. I guess keeping them in the center of my screen as much as possible, based on this video.

Hey man awesome tutorials dude Just wondering what your tips would be for fighting people who are in cover? Question for ya - played a 4 stack of masters last night that relied heavily on Lancers from a distance. Had decent spread and held down positions. I would try to smoke up and force a close fight but it was hard to find a clean 1v1. How would you deal with teams that are lancer heavy?
@imchaotix54503 жыл бұрын
You can’t go straight for the hills even with utility grenades. Your team hasto force the 1 player who is farthest out of position.(least likely to get a revive) For example on a map like gridlock. If the hill is on shock grenade and they have a set up in main snipe tower, and the planter boxes they most likely will have someone in the hammerburst boltok tower. That is the person you need to go for. You have to break apart the setup and take 1 person down and make a coordinated push after that. Otherwise he’s going to sit in that host pocket and make it extremely difficult to break hills. Don’t play for hills with 20 seconds left unless the round depends on it. Be the first to get to a hill and start a setup, you don’t need 4 people capping a hill. Stop killing people when the hills on rotation of you can, all that does is allows the team to have the next hill advantage because for some dumb reason that’s how gears 5 respawning works. Ever since the move to 4 players, it’s a lot easier to break a setup, it’s nowhere near the landlocked of 5 players lancering. Also it’s handy to have at least one person switch to smokes. For example on blood drive. If hills are on grenades switch to flash and if hills are in weapons switch to smokes and flashes. Blood drive has a lot of choke spots so smokes won’t do you well on certain sides of the map If the hills is on snipe weapon someone has to make a play for the back side to get the lancer crops to force players out of position. It’s ok to lose 10-5 seconds getting a coordinated push going, it’s not okay to keep dying off spawn wasting more time
