Been a gears OG since 07. And loved every game. Since 5 came out I felt like my skills ain’t to where they were in previous Gears. Like my fingers don’t cooperate with my brain. Lol making 5 frustrating for me. So I’ve watched this video a few times now and ran some private matches and feels like it’s starting to catch on. So thanks for the vid I appreciate it!!!

Nah it isn’t bro; there’s whole videos about how this is isn’t a real Gears game. They made this too “user-friendly” and what I mean by that is, they allow anyone without skill to be some of the “best players” in the world and so you see these rankings and you think “oh sh*t I’m like 62,340” you’re better than that ranking. The ppl who have to glitch to win games are ass to me. You will never get my respect and sure that may not mean a thing but if I was the type of player to talk on headphones and I got you glitching (and wall bouncing isn’t glitching to a certain extent unless your OD with it) you’d hear from me and I’d get very disrespectful because nobody is doing nothing about it. It’s not you bro, trust me. It’s like how fortnite is. Gears 1-4, you had to have skill, like real skill. Now it doesn’t matter and that was evident the day it released - super weapons in the middle of the map when the OGs only cared for the Gnashers. They killed the game. Look up Gears 5 is bad and watch that amazing and objective review

I always felt this game was so damn complicated. I still kind of do until my friend told me it is really simple. He taught me the anti-bouncer method: just popshot and angle bouncers and hold your shot when he is close enough. It is really simple to do. Not easy but it is super understandable. Really comprehending how something has always felt super difficult for me in games. When I finally got this it felt like my confidence grew a lot (having none haha). So, if you can make things simple for people I think you'll be a powerful catalyst in the community for growth.

I wish there was a KZbin channel that would post all your guys’ tournament matches. I used to know such a channel, but he said he had to stop uploading any and all matches because TC or whoever started claiming copyright and he didn’t want to get striked.

@@yozy-. I got it back , it just takes getting used to the new shotgun blindfires and knowing how to move on this game. It’s not like old gears where wall bouncing is king. Strafing is just as effective on this game as wallbouncing. Wanna run some sometime? My GT is McGrunch

@@haezz4027 I have fiber but you can't compete against 9ms ping players that they are next to servers. They always have the advantage and their shots always feel super strong.

Thankx for the tipz, haven't played for 6 years sold my blood red 2tb console so my girl (now my wife) could get a car fixed and the motor seized. Anywho I'm trying to improve, I know I have to practice again, I was almost diamond when I played 4 and I picked up claw but now I have gout so claw isn't ideal for me. Life sucks a little because it's becoming more expensive, and I'm realizing I can only play at peak level after self care. Sigh I miss my younger body already. Do you use panels bound to A? It's hard to use the right stick to strafe if you have to press A and take your thumb off the joystick.

Me too. My cover fights or so bad. But now I can start figuring out the tendencies of people and abuse them. I wasn't sure Icy meant to say that you should figure out if someone would STAY after a covered popshot, or roadie run the wall to get another shot, and afterwards adjust your action: to strafe and popshot over his next location or slide and popshot him where he first shot you from.

My best years were the Gears 3 years. KD 3.8 Gears 5 PvP is fun but it seems Gnasher damage varies from match to match. Have to adjust accordingly. Even then everybody is gonna have a few trash matches.
