I finally figured out how to be that guy in class while studying less. You know, the one who gets top grades while you’re busting your ass studying? Yeah, that used to drive me nuts. How do some people barely touch the books and still get straight A's, while you're grinding just to get a B-?
That question used to keep hammering in my head, and I could never figure it out... until now. I discovered that the problem isn’t a bad memory, it’s that you’re wasting your time like an idiot and not making the most of it. In this video, I’m gonna reveal the 7 simple things these people do that most others completely ignore or never even think of.
And the best part? No more spending endless hours studying at home, and you’ll walk into class confident, knowing you're already ahead.

Thanks for the video!!! Appreciate that Here’s the summary just in case: 1. Sleep well - 7+ hours even on weekends 2. Pay attention in the class and participate 3. Use drawings or images to get the concept and remember it 4. Don’t waste time, review 5. Use sticky notes 6. Associate your material with literally anything to remember 7. Use the blurting method, process the info

Some advice. For each concept ask : why is it important to know about [concept]. Then go find a bunch of answers. Then ask how it affect/relate/influence/impact other [concept] or things in the topic. Your brain retains stuff that you care so you need to ask why is what you are learning is important or else you’ll forget. (Don’t say “to get good grades”, answer should be around what’s the purpose of the concept or why the concept matters) try to simplify the answers to your own understanding. imagine your little 10 year old brother asks you: why do I need to care about [conceptA]
@ros3g0ld

This is actually really important not just for remembering but also because these questions come up a lot with concept-based subjects. So to do this by yourself first is extremely beneficial for retention and application.

@@Shzy. just because you want good grades, it wont make you remember the concept. you need to understand why the concept is needed in the first place or whats its purpose, or why it matters and then your brain will care and remember. and then you need to see how it impacts other concepts. you cant look at things in isolation like the way it shown in this video cause all youll do it just remember but not understand

Fun fact: Multiplying by 11 is easy For 2- digits numbers just add the 2 number together and put the sum in the middle Example 1: 72 x 11 7+2=9 792 Example 2: 84 x 11 8+4=12 carry the 10 over 8 -> 9 924 If people want, I'll do one for bigger numbers as well

the most common problem i see is that people try their best to memorize first. its not about memorizing first, u need to first understand the specific concepts. once u can understand the concept itself, everything related to it becomes a lot easier and u can continue studying from there. well actually thats the second most common problem. the main problem is that most people dont listen attentively in class, and end up missing out on the lesson being taught. this causes them to miss out on even hearing about these concepts that they need to understand. another problem i can come up with off the top of my head is overthinking/cramming. when people cram, they rush and cant properly process the information that theyre studying abt. this causes them to overthink during exams, which can lead to failure or running out of time. most of the students who study right before the test usually dont get A+. P.S. lemme clear this up. its not just understanding the concepts. u also need to practice.

Ikr like my classmates try to memorise info in subjects like History and Geography but they don't really link it to stuff they already know. Trying to understand+link things to daily life can make it easier to remember a certain topic rather than memorising it without understanding. And then some of them don't pay attention during class and expect to get high marks just from studying

I just want to put this out there but i usually ask my teachers whenever theres a few spare minutes in class "what made you got into teaching xyz subject?" and LISTEN to what they say, its usually very helpful they end up giving you advice on how they studied it without knowing, (also how i found out that all my math teachers used to once suck at math)

My advice as a straight ace in high school is to connect the dots, if you know what does this concept do, you can do the hardest part of it. For example, if you want to learn formula of speed, the first thing you need to learn is the the basic arithmetic, unit measurement and speed, after that you learn its theory and how speed have that unit of measurement, etc. Who knows by doing this you can understand why does the speed of light is 299792458 m / s

@@theangryexplainer i saw it, so maybe how to self study in an efficient and organized manner because i get overwhelmed and procrastination occurs. ALL of them say break it into simpler tasks but no says how to do that.. : (
@mrugaghodke491
@mrugaghodke491 2 ай бұрын
@@yukihana-ru1ig I have the same problem here! The reason for the overwhelming feeling is that once you break down a task you realise that it’s a lot more work than just the ‘one thing’ you had before. I procrastinated SO MUCH for revising physics but I eventually figured out a way to actually get myself to do something- 1: I ‘broke down’ physics into as many smaller tasks as I could- ones that only take 10ish mins to revise/ go over. For example- the waves topic in physics was broken down into: - results of the required practical - required practical method - one SINGULAR equation I needed to learn/ memorise Ect You should end up with a TON of mini topics that should only take a few minutes max to study. This is what breaking down a task is! You should be able to do multiple PARTS of one big task, rather than not being able to fully complete the task. It’s really about mindset! 2: Set a REASONABLE target. It does not need to be something like ‘I will study the whole of the physics course in this one day with no breaks’- that just doesn’t work. Instead try these two options: ->If you are a person that needs deadlines to work try ordering the ‘mini tasks’ in a way you think you need to revise them (least known goes first) and then set a number of mini tasks you will do per day/ per revision session. Physically seeing that you’ve made progress and completed a number of tasks helps so much with not giving up revision. ->If you abhor deadlines and work better over a period of time then set work to do over a period of time, like completing 30 mini tasks by my next physics lesson. It seems obvious but do what works for YOU! Not random people on the internet!! 3: ACCOUNTABILITY!!! I am one of those people that will simply forget to do something if someone else doesn’t remind me to. If you can’t hold yourself accountable- get someone who will! And no I don’t mean your friend who’ll occasionally check in with you over text but a parent, an aunt, a teacher, a sibling- someone who will ACTUALLY hold you accountable. A load of apps can do this as well! (Just don’t turn off notifs) And don’t just shrug off their reminders- get THEM to ask for proof if you know you procrastinate. Take accountability!!!! Hope this helped! Sorry the really long comment but I know exactly what you feel so I wanted to help! Lmk if this is what u wanted to know or if I should delete this comment bcs it’s not wanted 😅🩷

I am that guy and I was before watching this video, I was curious about the methods. I can totally agree with everything, but only if you're totally clueless in class. Better way to become that guy is to try to copy down the information, using your own words and try to use simple and understandable sentences + I liked the sentence in the video where it said to know what information is useful and which not. After that, use the information in real life. For example, after the class, go up to your friend classmate, that is taking the same class as you and just chat about the things that you learnt. It will make you remember better, make your friend remember better and your friend can maybe give you information that you missed.

I'm that dude(top of the class and 4.0 GPA with very little studying at home) for like 6 years straight now. I could say that all of this is effective and I already been doing half of them for a while now. Except writing stuff down, because the very presence of pens and papers instantly make me feels bored due to a mild form of ADHD.

I'm a one who get straight A+ in exams and... I don't really do what u said in here (like sleeping and stuff) but what i do similar is that I pay attention to what matters in class from teacher... then I don't study at all except 1 day or 1 hour before the exam (depends on how big it is).. but really what is important is that u understand how ur curriculum works through the years.. understanding that will save 99% of ur effort and make u get higher marks... It's not really sth special or make us smarter Tho... it is just that we figured it out..

I just started watching now, so let's see if i do those things. 1st. It's true, i do do it, but not intentionally. 2nd and 3rd. Are also true, you don't need to get distracted in class with all of those useless things that the students and teachers say and actually focus on learning and not being stupid. Also you need to think like all of the class are sheeps obeying the teacher and following blindly. Don't do it, you need to find the most efficient, easiest, and creative way for you to understand the subject. And finally Do the last part, actually understand the subject and write it in a way that will be the best for you and have an open mind and relax, don't fear and don't be stressed about it. Hope this helped or clear something if you needed 🙏

my tip: make a story with the terms in it, it is useful when there are terms with definition, every term you need to remember, think of a word that is close in rhyme or spelling, as for the definition, think of a scenario that the term is doing that is close to it.

The visual concept is worth applying! Ive did this before even knowing it, though my teacher made a random diagram during delivering a lecture, but all I remembered was that diagram and though i was the first and only child who remembered the whole concept of the lecture through that diagram or doodle she made on the white board.
