Assuming that being yourself is being a good boyfriend/girlfriend, then yes lol. I say that because a lot of people have parts of themselves that can be harmful(?) to a relationship. For example, if you tend to tease people a lot and/or playfully hit them but your boyfriend/girlfriend doesn't like it, you should repress that part of “yourself” because it comes across as disrespectful if you don't listen to their requests.

I am a doormat because if how many times people hurt and took advantage of me. I used to be a bubbly and outgoing little girl but a lot of my EX friends betrayed me, teachers kept yelling at me for stupid reasons or no reason, I kept getting bullied and more.
