How to Bead Tubular Herringbone Stitch with Two Colors Tutorial

✿ Hey beautiful! It’s Gina from orchidandopal.com. In today's tutorial I will show you how to create a simple seed bead rope while learning the tubular herringbone beading stitch, using two different colors. I will create a separate video to teach the tubular herringbone technique in more than two colors, in the future. Since this is a technique video, we will not be creating a finished piece this time. Instead, I will show you how to begin beading tubular herringbone, how to tie off, and add new thread, and we will discuss some options for ending the rope.
This bead weaving basic technique has many off-shoots, including twisted tubular herringbone, which I will share soon, in a separate video. It's also possible to complete this design using a single color, or create striped patterns, and more. Have fun exploring this versatile bead weaving stitch!

Hey dear, if you use myuki little squares, it twists when you make it normal, no 2 bead step ups. Just with 2 rows of 2 beads each. Going to try my triangles now cuz I read comments. 🙋‍♀️❤️✝️🇺🇸 Thank you!!

Can you make 3 layers instead of 4?

I still get confused with this stitch as some patterns only go through one bead, while some say to go through two beads. How do you know what to do? Does it make a difference? Thank you in advance! 💜

Hi Sharon! I think going through one bead is just fine, as long as you continue to pull tight after each turn. It's more about consistency...if you choose to do two beads every time, just keep sticking with the same thing to keep everything most uniform. Hope that helps! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
