Like someone else already said - keep jumping and don't hover, and you'll be fine. I got through the birds in 3 or 4 tries. Getting TO the birds, though.... took me 50 tries at least :)

After an hour and a half of playing this over and over again, I watched another video and tried again for maybe another half an hour and decided to watch this video. I watched this and made it from the lizard spitting and dying all the way without any issue to the final O part and over jumped and died on the LAST JUMP. Now, I've been at it, I'm not even kidding for THREE HOURS playing over and over again and can't do it. I was that close and would've have the platinum three hours ago but had to finally call it quits for the night. I LOVE this game, but it's these challenge stages that are absurd and make me hate this game. People beat this game in six hours! It's taken me nearly that long for this last stage to get the Platinum and I still can't beat this challenge. This could be the game I got THAT CLOSE to getting the platinum and just can't do it

I have 25 attempts so far and have only made it to the bird sections twice. The first time the ice immediately crumbled as soon as I stepped on it and the second time I fumbled the bag on the triangle bird pattern. This level should have 1 checkpoint, it's so exhausting doing the same part of the level over and over just to get to the part where you keep failing. Terrible game design. This level requires perfection from the player but their game mechanics aren't anywhere near perfect. Edit: 1hr after posting this I finally beat it, and got the platinum!

When climbing the wall with the two groups of purple spitters (1:08 in video) doing a charged spin attack just as you reach the first one lets you take all three out without no risk. You still need to move fast, but it is foolproof. I start charging this as soon as I hit the ice at about 0:58 in the video. (Before the ramps that lead up past the fire.)

Just plat the game today. This took me about 30 min then i stopped for couple hours and finally got it after another 30 mins. Pretty proud i did it w/o a guide, just trial and error, and sheer patience and perseverance. Some of the Shape stages are pretty frustrating since no checkpoint or any room for error. The only thing i did diff from this guide was i hover to avoid the things latching onto me instead of the spinning attack.

The second spinner I find easier to defeat by jumping again and destroying it with the hover lasers. Also for the small exploding enemies which clamp on to you, you have way more time than you think to get rid of them. Get to safe spot first before spinning to get them off.

It’s weird reading the comments some say it’s not the hardest level but it’s the only one I cannot finish, had a lot of fails on lava duck and the beat challenge but it was not that hard. This level is too long I’m so bored to go back to the birds every time I fail cause the 2/3 of the level is now easy. Also noticing some input lag sometimes the character does not jump and sometimes he don’t go as high on trampolines and makes it unfair.

I'm at three hours. Some developers have zero respect for people's time. I loved this game, I wanted to love this game because it would've been something different, like being a kid again. And then you play the challenge stages and you hate the game. How is the experience so lopsided? Yeah, I'm at probably four hours total for this one stage and I'm still not there. Had to quit. When someone tells you it's time to turn it off because they're sick of hearing the same music that long straight, that says something for the average player

Splashing sprint I think was the name. Master challenge for me doesn't feel hard but cheap as heck. Splashing sprint was harder then this...damn lava duck level. Timing of perfection...master level you can wait in spots and fumble while still making it...not lava duck level. You miss it by a speck and die quicker in the lava or homing missile lizard. Timing is super tight. Master challenge was annoying but didn't feel hard. Felt like cheap deaths. Entire game was easy but the button levels and master challenge. Not sure why they did this but this is a Mario clone. Mario also had those bonus levels that were hard too! This game was fun but for me it feels like something is missing with the controls. Why I like slightly older mario games because new ones are more slower and sluggish in movement. When you run in older games you really haul butt. It is so engrained that when I played mario 3d world and bowsers fury...ugh I felt slow and sluggish even running entire time. 64, galaxy 1 and 2 or sunshine, you can really speed through. Ive always been this way. Always loved moving fast and reflexes fit the game to instantly move or jump in right direction. I felt sooo slow and sluggish in astrobot. Cannot run and it felt to slow. Felt delayed in response. My reflex and respose move faster then the game so its harder to adjust. Why I love ninja gaiden games too! Anyways...this was pretty fun all in all.

yeah the game doesn’t teach you. it frustrating but you have to remember that it’s 3D not 2D and kind of start your wall run away from the wall before you jump

I think I know what you're talking about. I kept hitting the spikes wondering what was going on and then I realized, as was said before, this is a 3D game with depth so, just as your run along the collapsing ice don't run all the way to the wall before you head up, instead run up close to the edge near you and when you jump to the other wall, you'll get it and then you won't hit the spikes, you'll clear them. Game developers are sadistic. They know exactly what they're doing and do stuff just like this to make good men evil. They get a sick pleasure out of things like this making you have to pull stuff like this off without a hitch and very little, if any breathing room. If Satan himself made a game, it would be full of levels like this to turn a godly man into an angry man mad at humanity and firing them up. Yeah. I have horrible O.C.D. so I'm at it trying to plow through till I can pull it off. Devs didn't take that into consideration people with mental issues will have a hard time saying no. When someone tells your three hours later of playing this stage that it's time to turn it off because they're sick of hearing the same music over and over and over for the last three hours, that says something. Of course, after three hours of steady playing the same stage, you start to notice the programming flaws too where there's probably latency issues and pushing the buttons are consistent in their response. You notice things like that

Those challenges ruins the game, the entirety of the game is fun and smiles, this challenges are pure hate and frustrarion, all it needs are some checkpoints to be fun again. Do like playroom, set other trophyes that only unlock if you do the whole level in one try.

@@tdubb3254 Personally, To The Beat (a Cross Challenge) and Splashing Sprint (a Square Challenge) are harder. Great Master Challenge is challenging, but there are still some breathing room in some spots so that you can clear up your mind without worrying the enemies projectiles and the environmental hazard. Not to mention, the beginning of the stage imo basically throw some softball at you just to get player ready :3
