About the bow issue, you can grab a short bow in Majula, after you opened the door for the Blacksmith guy. There's a chest in this room

Does Nashandra glitch(when you throw any bomb at her just before cutscene starts, leading to 'disabling' her) not work on consoles? As for crossbow not working on the bell ... maybe it's out of range? Crossbow has less range than bow after all.

No free bow in the game? What about the hunters black bow in Drangleic castle? You could parry walk to get into the area before the castle and then kill the two royal soldiers and one stone knight needed to open the required doors, and this would get you closer to the 5k souls you'd need for the agape ring itself without putting you over.

One thing, if you can parry walking, why not use this to pass Shaded Woods without using a Fragrant Branch of Yore on Rosabeth? Like some speedrunnners do. Then light a bonfire there so you can teleport.

Just an additional challenge, though a significant one. Not only does it limit upgrading your gear at all, but it also means not fighting the majority of enemies, which is known to be a much greater chore in DS2 (running past mobs is a fantastic way to die, see Dragon Shrine). It also requires the Agape ring (to nullify all those boss souls), which you can see caused quite a wrinkle for this run. Ray made it look easy, mostly.

@@ArcRay20 more or less. I mean SL1 runs and no upgrade runs are nothing new, but a "don't collect souls in the first place" run isn't something you see a lot of. Plus, as I said, trying to run through areas and skip mobs can be a pretty rough time in 2.

Couldn't you have bought lenningrasts key from melentia then repaired your broadsword? You had 5400 souls. Since the key is only 1000 and it takes about 500-2000 ish souls to repair (somewhere in that range) you could have just used both axe and sword for nashandra.

46:21 makes me think of the Retainer Rouges who have a female cry when they die. But when you look at them they have male bodies, you can even see in between the chest area is showing but on female models they always have clothes covering that part. Wonder if it has anything to do with the gender change coffin lol

They dragonbros aggro if you attack them, if you summon a phantom (iirc), *or* if you try to run past the Drakekeepers. They vibe as long as you duel the Drakekeepers, basically.

The game is big, like really big(you can fit all the souls games in it pretty much) and I myself am still in the first area getting all the collectibles and doing the available questlines there and in the Weeping Peninsula(as the completion of the questline there is required for another character to appear in the second area of the game).
