Thank you for posting this. There are allot of good strategies on KZbin to beat Erlang however they focus on Plantain Fan cooldown and are tough to master. Your strategy focuses on heavy damage to defeat his shield and that's brilliant. Taking the extra steps out allowed me to focus on heavy hit timing making it so much easier for this casual gamer to defeat him. I will say that I quickly tired of farming Monkey Head Fungus and had to settle for the lesser pellets. They worked just fine in the end..

erlang and yellow loong are so similar. They’re both incredibly hard and take a while to kill and I can consistently get both to ~1/2 health before eventually dying. I’m sure I’ll get it eventually but holy fuck this fight is so hard.

i used this build but ran our of medicines, kept going for attemps without buffs. manages to finish him off even with missing the charged heavy after his spear flashes red. i added to the build by puting points in transformation duration and damage, Evergreen 5/6 and Ferocious Form 6/6. maxed dmg, crit, crit dmg. 2 in mana and stamina.

This does NOT work in the present game. Everything matches specs and gear, Erlang dodges everytime and doesn’t go into phase three. Seems nerfed and he’s buffed more than he is in this tutorial.

I can help troubleshoot if you send me a video of you doing it. But I would rather you try my other Erlang guide first. That one has a bigger margin for error. This new one may look easy, but it requires more practice and understanding of attack inputs and timing.

Cloud step and charged heavy’s have been my bread and butter so far. I watched a lot of videos about using pluck of many and totem guy that’s not my style. Going to go back to my roots and use cloud steps and heavy attacks. My only beef is he dodged my heavy’s multiple times. Also I got super close with spell binder and pillar stance but died nonetheless

Wait for him to engage before releasing your charge attack. You wont miss. Either engage with your decoy, or when you're reappearing.

Yes you will still get the 6th relic. However u will have to fight wukong again after erlang.

Hey man, you dont need anything to do that. I went into the game, reignited all of my sparks. Went into cloudstep and was still able to drink from my gourd while being in cloudstep. I used Supreme Gourd if that matters.

There's a small delay after activating cloudstep. Maybe try spamming to get the timing right? Cheers.

Hey man, this video was in the first playthrough, I showed my level and equipment. I'm not faking it. However, this method is harder to pull off, you'll have to time everything precisely. I have another method up on my channel that has more room for error if your goal is just to defeat Erlang. All the best to you. Cheers.

Hey man, I don't quite get your question? That's just a charge and releasing the attack when the timing's right. ( I explained when to release the attack later in the video for this phase)
