The main advice that you "shouldn't level heroes just for campaign" is good *as a general guideline*, but I have two criticisms: - first is your example at 3:10 where you mention 5 heroes with 8 resources each. This might mislead newer players into thinking they should invest evenly into their team, which in most scenarios will lead to you being steamrolled by people who prioritize the most crucial resources. If you have 40 resources to spread over 5 heroes, a more effective distribution goes along the line of 12 resources for tank, 16 resources for main damage dealer, and 4 resources for each of the other 3 heroes (12+16+4+4+4 = 40). And you might then ask "is it worth investing just 4 resources into a 6th hero?", to which I'd say the answer is still "generally not" - some of this advice falls apart on chapters 14 and 15 of web. For one, some key items most heroes need can only be farmed there: Harunian Helm and Enigma's Chronicles can only be farmed on chs 14,15, and Throwing Knives only in chapter 15. And for another, you can't quite "outlevel" ch 14: it's perfectly possible to be at lv 130 on ch14 and still not be able to clear it, in which case you need to improve your heroes items, which likely requires fragments that can only be farmed in chs 14 and 15. So at this point you may well need to invest a little on some additional heroes, and the key is that you want to be as cheap as possible: try to find heroes who can help with only a moderate investment of the resources you don't care too much about (ideally just XP and gold). For example, if you have a Karkh team, chs 14 & 15 become a lot simpler (well, minus the bosses) if you take Kai and raise his level, first skill, and not much else.

The "steamrolling" part of your argument seems to be talking about PvP and this video is about campaign bosses so I do not see the relevance.

@@Ruzland "I do not see the relevance." Seriously...? This is pretty obvious, but here's the "relevance": - the heroes you use in campaign are the same heroes you use in PvP. Developing separate heroes for campaign and PvP will make you worse at both - the breakdown I suggested, focusing on tank and damage dealer, will also make your team perform better in campaign... Basically, you're getting a stronger team for every scenario.

Raising Cornelius to a useful level doesn't take a huge amount of resources, and he really helps kill the Chapter 14 healer, when combined with Faceless.

I find Cornelius is very useful with Melissa in the outlands too. And because you can get his soul stones the friendship shop you can start collecting them early. That means I got him to six star as my third hero. Now I can use this old stones to buy soulstone coins

I have unlimited energy, but what I really need is personal advice, Let's say this. I have my group level as 55, I have many, many characters. I use all these items to help them and try to use on myself, I look at items to see what I need. The needle is the thing I need most, like that needle is like coins, anyways, I have 9,384 energy, 0 exp potions, 0 coins, and a few emeralds. There is the new treasure Island and there is butt load of emeralds where I can get. I want emeralds please

Chapter 14 is such case where you need to kill the healer fast. I don't think there is a way around it.

When I got stuck on archdemon in mission 8, I needed so much equipment I needed anyway that I just started farming equipment. It wasn't like I was stuck not being able to level my heroes unless I beat this boss. I had to build up my equipment anyway so I started working on that by farming the lower levels. When I got caught up leveling up all my equipment my heroes were level 94 LOL. I beat archdemon no problem after that

How many chapters are there i just finished Chapter 13 and i dont see it progress any further is there a level Cap that you have to reach to see other chapters or things in campaign or in game in general like something Extra in Tower etc ?

but the game encourages you to level many different characters in outland. so we sposed to not do things that require a variety? im only 37 btw, maybe you are not talking about that early

Yeah, Outland is a HUGE trap. You don't really benefit that much from going very high, while it will cost you A LOT in resources for heros you'll likely never use outside of it.

yeehawmookitty! I figured that one out on my own and did it right. I just sort of stalled on that boss battle and figured the only way out was to work on my primary hero team and get them leveled up, skills up and artifacts as high as I could get them. I'm a happy Cat.

The Campaigns matter because you can get Soul Shards for the cost of Energy once you clear it with 3 stars and can do the daily x3 raids.

Free-to-play not-street-wise here and frustratingly stuck at kraken. Higher team levels take *so long* to level up so have been trying to go back and level up corvis, faceless, nebula.

I have been stuck on chapter 8 for more than a week because of I couldn't beat the boss. Finally managed to scrape by few days ago thanks to Martha and Albus. I was immediately able to clean up almost the whole chapter 9. Charlie is right there is no need to get new hero just for one boss. Bit of waiting pays of.

Hi friend, When you reach chapter 14 camp# 9 .Then you really know what happened. Either you spend money or waiting 1 century upgrade your artifacts to beat those monster there each one have 120k power up...

You shouldn't rush to conclusions. Depending on your team you may be stuck for a few weeks on ch 13 and, if you're on web, you are almost certain to be stuck for much longer than that on ch 14.

@@LuisPereira-bn8jq You are right . I'm newbie playing almost 4 months and really stuck at ch14 # 9 almost 2 months plus. Now, i' have my team level 125 and 45K power but so sad can't defeat monsters inside there. So, your opinion what the power team can beat them.please advice thanks you.

@@medusa1136 ch14 #9 is in some ways the hardest mission. Once you can beat it the others are kind of "more of the same", except for the ch14 boss, which is also easy to get stuck on. But I can't really give you a power level number for clearing ch 14, since it will depend a lot on your team. Although 45K power seems very low to me. Is that the power of your whole team? Or is it your strongest hero?

This is an example where I had to level up a few other characters. My Arachne was pretty good. I switched out QM. Arachne stunned the drill long enough for Keira to use her ultimate. I am not saying you need Arachne, just some way to get your damage dealer to do damage. I tried moving Keira back and use Arachne to stun and Arachne worked better for me. That boss fight was also tough. For that, I had to upgrade artifact weapons for Astaroth and Marth for bonus armor. I also had to get Helios because Yasmine was destroying my team every time I tried the tower.

@@LATriathlete68 In the tower, where you have manual control, violet Arachne should be more than enough to counter Yasmine. Just keep her jump ability at the ready, wait for Yasmine to teleport, than strike. Works pretty much every time. In the arena though (where you don't have control), it's pretty much the opposite - she very rarely manages to stop her at the right moment.

okay. so your advice is almost useless once my toons are bumping up against the 130 level. . and you need 25 toons leveled for the Osh fights, so even your item farming advice isn't really that useful as exp / energy expense efficiency drops off fast.

@@levit1152 Are you low level? This sounds like a starter team. Astaroth and Aurora are capable of being strong tanks throughout the game. Galahad less so, but he's fine as a more offensive tank early on. Thea's ok if she's your only healer, and she got better recently but still isn't as strong as Martha or Celeste or Dorian depending on needs. Nebula is fantastic and flexible, fitting into many teams, so I'd spend resources there. Astrid isn't found much in strong teams later on either. Note: most of my answer is about where to put resources as you level your team(s), that's the name of the game here. Kinda doesn't matter how "good" they are at low level. Hope that helps!
