Horus is the biggest insult to game balance since Pendulums at their prime in Master Rule 3. Not only can they bring themselves back EVERY turn just because of the presence of a Spell card, but support cards like "Canopic Protector" makes them even MORE broken. Canopic Protector is a Continuous Trap that can special summon a Horus Monster from hand or Graveyard in response to a Card or effect Once per CHAIN. That's right, once per CHAIN. The Horuses can be summoned on YOUR turn EVERY turn in ADDITION to summoning themselves on the Owner's turn EVERY turn. This card design is insane in a bad way. What the hell were they smoking when they made this garbage?

They do not design around balance. Even the banlist blatantly ignore the best cards until AFTER konami has made full money off them.

I'm Thinking of running a GK Horus deck. If I'm not mistaken.... Horus effects don't activate in grave so they bypass necrovalley. Just havhbg horus on the field keeps your gk protected or punishes opponent for removing a gk card.

I like horus as an engine. The problem is... Even the meta decks and archetypes can utilize these generic engines and hand traps on top of their inherent abilities to negate or disrupt. That is the main problem. Archetypes should be locked down if you're gonna make them have 3k negate beaters. Negate monsters shouldn't even be above 2k attack. Why does a 3k beater have a negate. Now I have to bait the negate AND hope I have resources to crash over this 3k boss because next turn he gets another negate.

That's why I am glad Barron is gone with Savage, and we will see if konami follows through with I:P/Appo at a later date. I absolutely do not want every good card archetype locked like we saw for YEARS, but there is also a fine line between hard locked and being GENERIC MATERIALS with BROKEN EFFECT. Seems like Konami is trying to reel it in a tad though.

Why not Ghost Ogre? Can destroy Sarcophagus, best handtrap against Horus. By destroying the Sarc, they can't even search anymore, so it's better than Ash.

Dude Horus needs to be severely limited... I can't believe they keep coming out with stupidly overpowered cards like this that has almost no limitation at all with what you can do with it, and people find ways to do just the dumbest OP bullshit with this crap.... I was very surprised when they were as generic as they are. Plus they do not activate to summon which is by far the most busted part of their engine imho. I enjoy how easy they are to summon but they are a bit buffed out for something so easy to use. I do not hate them but it is a prime example of how power crept the game has become x'D
