How to Beat Massive Southern Armies - Battle Brothers Fight Guide

In one of the hardest fights in a BBFG video, I take on a whopping 43 enemies. I do lose a brother because this was a side-save on my campaign so I wasn't worried about the consequences. I have beat this without losses if that means anything :/ I hope you learned something!

As someone on reddit said, fighting against the South is a trap. On Ironman you should probably never do it or go in extremely prepared. I'd rather take on the northern guys any day

I got a fight vs 34 southern people and 8 from them with handguns. At the moment I couldn't win without any losses, still replaying this battle. It's a lead rain from 4-5 guns every turn and focusing damage from their polymaces and swordlances. My tanks are trying to survive with great difficulty even with shieldwall and indom. And my archers couldn't kill all gunners fast enough

Serpent mantles work great to minimise ranged damage from mortars and gunners. Kill a bunch of serpents, make their skins into armour attachments and then putthem on the tanks

It is always the nimble guys that die in these big fights. And people still argue for nimble over battle forged *eyeroll*

While it's true that nimble brothers have less sustain power than BF, that doesn't make nimble a worse perk. For many bros it's the superior choice. Most fights won't last long enough to make these bros lose all their armor and then their HP.

I tend to give nimble to my back line and duelist bros.

Ideally chosen should be swinging at non-mammoths very rarely. Through a combination of taunts, disarms, and positioning, mammoths should be getting hit/missed and that's about it. Stuns work well too

I mean. Why coundt the game let you bring your entire 20 man company to a fight like this? It would feel more like a siege war.

I think you moving the 2H Cleaver into a bunch of shield guys at 11:30 and NOT pushing your 2H sword forward at 16:15 was what allowed them to kill your Nimble Duelist guy. If you did even 1 of those 2 I think their entire polearm line would be dead.

Good tips overall. Any comment or tips on fighting Assassins though? They're like instant fire mortars - throwing flash bombs and then firebombs in quick succession. Then all your dazed brothers get stabbed to death by his qatal.

taunting them makes them swing rather than throw bombs. Additionally, taunting means their overwhelm goes onto a mammoth so it's essentially wasted.

@@CarveaHole im sitting on a lot of beast attachments (bone plating, light padding, direwolf) and im not sure where to give them on my bros.

@@enzzoostia4798 I throw light armor padding (the -stam% one) onto hybrids and low stam frontline. I use the additional fur padding on most everyone else because less hp damage received is like free colossus. Archers have direwolf/hyena pelts for initiative/morale + durability.

But why do you quick shot instead of Aimed when theres enough stamina? Is it to preserve stam for later?
