bro I’m no pro and no hater…but I’m level 172 and almost beat him twice but took me countless tries…came here to help and dude is level 230 and blessing level 15 or 16 while mine are at 10 haha. Bro I’ll just go find other enemies and come back at level 180. I got this

Well right now I'm at Blessing level 8 so I'm getting all kinds of ass whooping from this guy lol😅😅😅Then again, I beat Mesmer at level 6 when the recommended level is 10 so anything can happen lol. Thanks for the tip on using Frostbite though. Coincidentally I used Frostbite in the Mesmer fight and it helped a lot. Was using the Moonlight Great Sword which is really great at breaking poise for most enemies. I'll give it another go

Hopefully it helps!! Yeah I honestly recommend raising fragment levels as high as possible. If you haven’t fought Gaius, you get almost 2 levels of blessing after beating him. In the back of the arena where he enters from, you can go through an archway and head to the end of the road and there’s a giant bowl on the ground with 5 of the fragments sitting around it.

You don’t have to be overleveled to use this strategy, and I believe I even say that you don’t have to be my exact level. And if it works, does it really matter how you do it? The point of a guide is to get people through the fight. Besides, if you level up your Blessing level, that’s more important than your character level for the most part. I also describe how to dodge certain attacks for those not using shields.
