It's totally messed up. Lvl 34 on very hard, invested everything I had into damage and armor, evading and filling him up with led for 15mins, he kills me with a single dash.

I literally do no damage. I’ve shot him 15 times in the head with my pistol (pistol build) and his health doesn’t even drop 1%. Think it’s just bugged

You need to start from the save before the last save. I've been stuck on him for ages but weirdly if you start from a save from before your in the room he's harmless and alot easier to kill.

You can still stealth takedown him after 2.0. Just hide, and sneak on him two times. First time you'll damage his mask, second time he'll be out. Nice to have this opportunity, but you'll miss out on a fight completely.

I'm using quickhacks and range dude this shit is hard as fuck. He one shots me with his blades and his auto targetting pistol unless I'm spamming my dodge and getting lucky at the right time. (still haven't beat him after 2 hours of fighting him. I'm tired and I just want to go home.)

Was level 36. Took me around 10 tries. It’s a relatively easy fight once you figure out his pattern. 1. Use a katana and strike first. You will knock him down. Continue striking until he gets up then go to step 2. 2. Double jump and dash to evade his attacks. Wait until he starts shooting. 3. When he starts shooting, hide in the tents. But make sure to keep an eye as he will activate camo after firing. You will then see which tent he’s gonna hide. 4. Hurry up and strike him again so he won’t regenrate. Then evade again after 6-8 strikes. Rinse and repeat steps 2-4.

if you use knives and katana you can just dodge away and use the lunge attacks, throwing knives, and use finishers on him. Dont even need to parry his combos. finishers and stealth attacks dont kill him they just take a chunk of health now.

Oda is like every other boss fight. You cant just flatline him by flurry of hits. But you need to have AirDash, Dash, and Double Jump to get away and hide and do repeated attacks until his health is gone (a war of attrition). Being careful to take your health booster sparingly. Blood Pump is best as its total rejuvantion of health is quite a bit higher than Max Docs as it works more like Bounce Back but much higher health rejuvantion. I do Sandy/Byakko Katana and he is no problem but if I was quick hacking it would be Cripple Movement then attack and run (although there are prolly better ones now as they have been buffed and its been a long time since I have done a Netrunner build). I dont do ODA till near the end of the game on very hard as I figure this is the end game where you talk to Honoko, then some Johnny missions, then its on to the roof top decision as to which ending. Of course you can do this and just start doing other missions/gigs before going to the ending at any time. I think last time I did on 2.02 at level 60 (phantom liberty version) it took about 2 min. Seems the 2.1 update has made the bosses harder (smasher especially) and Smasher gets to do a 1 time health rejuvantion (dont you just hate that. Last time I did Smasher 2.02 on very hard he one shotted me as I ran at him down the center pathway (he wouldn't chase me and his health was at 15%) all the way across the room and it wasn't from missles so I lowered it to Hard difficulty and beat him easily 1st try.

i fought Oda in 2.0 in Hard difficulty and when he was invisible, he retracted his mantis blade, it was difficult to find him. i think he was on one of the roof once, when he turned invisible.

Level 27. The most important thing is to track him in the beginning to know where he is. I beat him using monowire only and evading his attacks. Whenever he hid I was able to track him and he lost between 10-20% of health each time. It is important to look for strange numbers while he is getting away. For sure there are better ways, but this worked for me.

I threw the Nehan and then diced him with the Satori before throwing a grenade and pummeling him with the MK5. And then after that diagonally Dashing put him to continue smart gun burst then pushing the fight when he retreats. Stealth takedown does not work on very hard but fortunately oda glitch froze while jumping platforms while in stealth. Up to that point, I could only get him down to 28% health before mistiming a move. Also low leveled on this run-through but luv his chants of Die and you won't get away with this.

I could not beat him at all and ready to drop down the difficulty. Got him down to 87% then he used his camouflage to regenerate. I hid for awhile, was no longer on combat mode then managed to go behind him as he was standing doing nothing. Grabbed him and knocked him down 💀💀. But I think there was a bug because he was standing in the air.

Wow this video was easy because in V2.1 everything is filled with dense thick fog so you can't see him easily at all as in this video. I did took him down with katana only though but it took time since I was only at level 24. Its best to just whack at him with strong ones and they take like 3 - 4 % every time. When your stamina is time to regen he busts free and starting to shoot at you again. And rinse and repeat and he is soon "dead", no I didn't kill him.

Which level? And what difficulty? I was playing on hard and while I did good damage with synapse burnout, he always come out to regen and i couldn't find him.

What??? I have used dozens of Synapse burnouts and the other one that catches him on fire.. I take down maybe 5 or 6% of his HP.. Then he turns invisible and regenerates all his HP before I can find him again.. (Very hard difficulty)

I feel so ripped off right now. In every KZbin Video this fight seems to be so easy. And then there is my save. Oda litteraly needs to just hit me one time with his slash move and it's an instant kill. I'm level 45... this is a joke. Either i messed up something about my skill tree badly or the game is just joking around with me... Hopefully i will manage to beat him somehow. you didn't mess up your build bro I was lvl 46 and same happened to me I'd get one shotted by pistol and two shotted by melee. my build: int 12, tech 15, cool 20, ref 15, body 4💀 I finally managed to kill him after an hour by using SC and malfunction quick hacks alongside shooting gernades out of air with focus but lemme tell you that one hour was hard💀

@@exmatilda982 today i was able to beat him too. There absolutely for sure are some moves that you can't dodge at all. I used block with my electric mantis blades (which are overkill on every other enemy) and he still did tons of damage. I had to run from a few of his hits but some i was able to dodge gladly. Doing a lot of quickhacks, "regeneration runaway" and full power mele attacks with mantis blades while he tried to recharge did it for me. Maybe this helps future players.

Someone on another video said loading the autosave from inside the boss room is bugged. Amplifies his damage output or something. I haven't tested it yet, but it would explain the one-hit kills you're experiencing. He said you have to load a manual save from outside the boss room.

I just stealth takedown him with my sneaky shinobi. It took me one minute to slash his mask off and sneak behind him... and left me disappointed cause I wanted a big boss fight... Well, just for you all with stealth builds like mine.. I do not recommend this. They should have removed this option so you don't miss out the fight entirely and enjoy the challenge. Now I feel like loading a save and confronting him the proper way.
