This boss is just flat out unfair to fight against. Terribly designed arena, homing fireballs, stupidly high dmg that ignore your Fire Antibody no matter how high it is, and the worst part? *90% RESISTANCE TO GUNS FOR SOME REASON.* Add that to the fact that most players only have 2 or three Descendants at that point, essentially forcing them to shell out money to get better characters. Long story short: This boss fucking sucks.

This boss sucks. You barely do any damage to it, and the main reason i fail is by running out of time. It's constantly invincible, which is bullshit. I keep tweaking my build in order to increase the damage that i do to it, but it doesn't seem to help. Even when I'm able to absolutely unload into it from a distance i just keep running out of ammo.

77 attempts so far. 5k heat resistance and 28k defense. i'm not spending money on another character... i'm about to just delete the game. i cant progress the story without killing this guy and can't farm better stuff to beat him so i think if i cant beat him after 100 attempts im just gunna uninstall til they make it playable for someone tanky like an ajax or the intended weakness, viessa. not worth the stress. don't want to be carried through the fuckin game. seems like it aint just me either. i had big troubles with devourer but got him after 13 attempts. this boss is the one that makes me start hating a game. i'll check back later

I feel your pain. I'm stuck here too and can't progress the story while being overstacked on fire res, hp, def, cold and high dps on all my loadout weapons. Stupid they locked the campaign and Bunny's story quest behind this boss. Should have been saved for hard mode as the 4 you fight before him is plenty enough for the campaign. I should be able to use 1 hero to complete the campaign, then in hard mode the grind for more descendants to play the intercepts makes more sense for endgame. They need to change this design.

It’s the timer that has me frustrated, there gonna give us a boss that half the time is immune or doing his fog thing and expect us to break down his health and shield in 10 MINUTES? it takes 5 on average just to get the shield down and my teammates keep trying close combat and end up dying because they have no cover

I struggled for days. I didn't think going solo would make a difference. I setup a Viessa and did it first try with a couple minutes to spare. Good luck! Try it solo if your struggling with matchmaking.

Pyro with atleast 75% weapon dmg reduction. Multiple high spawn King fishers that do unavoidable knock back, bullet sponges, high damage. 16k defense shouldn’t be taking dmg like I’m being sniped at. Rings that have weird hitboxs (can’t go under them or else damage taken). Wide variety of aoe abilities that can’t be blocked by the dome shield (that sphere shot/chain shot/laser beam or deflected by the wall. All this boss does is stop people that didn’t pay for ultimate decendents and to make them suffer that’s it. Nexon knows that most people won’t assist the community and that’s what they are hoping for.

you get Freyna easily after bunny, 2nd skill makes her tanky. Poison does normal dmg against Pyro so first and second then ult combo when you stagger him. Get his shoulders to yellow and use save them to force stagger him back to back.

The fact right now is that bosses are easier on solo because the game seems to scale bosses straight up multiplied by number of players. If even 1 player is crappy, you will have a harder time.

A tip for anyone who may have ajax and using him for this, and pretty much every other fight, run high element resist to whatever it is, and stack HP with HP recovery. Even in 4 person coop, i can just sit there taking tons of boss hits, and recover most of the health from a single heal. Otherwise, use your shield and bubble, itll stop almost all boss attacks, allows revives if you dont want tank damage reviving. Make sure the gear is lvl'd up of course. For devourer, i recommend playing solo the first time if coop isnt doing well, the dps check is too high for 4 random first timers to really do. You, can have some shield stats for ajax, but because health drops are so common, i believe HP ties to your shield health, its easy to keep your health high, shield breaks in one hit, your health takes forever for most mobs to drain.

Try solo. Like he said, its a lot easier. I tried 4 times with a team and didn't even did 50% damage to the boss health. After the video i went solo with some defense mods and first tried it with 5 seconds left on the timer.

Finally beat it yesterday with a bunch of randoms, I just kept trying to get my build better,found a random group that were doing the same as I did, and we clicked no chats no comms just trying to kill the damn thing and we did with 1 minute left lolz, so satisfying! I used Ajax! You feel indestructible with those shields!

I was stuck on this boss for several hours in public games, then I decided to just try solo it with Viessa, got it on the first try(with 3 seconds left). Make sure to use fire resistance and HP/def modules, and ice damage on your weapon. Use the deaths you have to regen your blizzard, since that is your main damage dealer.

Managed to get him on my 9-10th try with randoms. we got him down with about 30 seconds left. This is a ridiculously hard boss he definitely needs a nerf. Focusing on mods and upgrading them barely even help. I did play bunny which people hate on but we literally had a lepic and another bunny and still won. I really think 90% of it just comes down to whether or not your teammates are competent. Definitely much more of a dice roll just hoping the people youre with are good and dont get knocked straight away.

The problem if your matchmaking is everyone turning up as bunny. It’s like they don’t read that an electric character is no good against him, you need a chill or toxic character. Nearly took him out three times in succession but always having to pick up a bunny or failing because they stand there like a rabbit in headlights and get smashed.

I’m alright with the damage output of this asshole, but I’m not ok with his damage resist with weapons. It’s a very imbalanced challenge. When I’m in my lobbies with this boss and his white bar is not depleted within 4 mins, I bounce. If that bar isn’t gone before 5 mins is up, you will not beat him.

Hey everyone i just beat him as bunny with thundercage as my main weapon with about a minute and a half to spare. Heres my build Sub Mod - 9 Heat Anti - 7 Stim Acc - 6 HP - 5 Regen Boost - 6 DEF - 6 Tech - 6 Strong Ment - 5 Skill Insight - 5 Yes, this build does require an energy activator, so this is for bunny mains like myself. All my componets are spect for def Thundercage (max proficiency, no energy activator) Fire rate - 4, Action Reaction - 5, Rifle Rein - 3, Better Insight - 3, Chill Enchan - 4 The way to play this build is to kill ads (yes humming birds too) immediately or as many as you can. Need those health/energy pickups to be around when you need them. Dps with thundercage and build up max charge with your movement and your two. Once you hit max, use your four. This will be your main source of dmg. Thundercage will just be padding till you can use your 4 again. Hug cover and play semi far. If he is using flamerthrower, run don't fight. If deathball is thrown, run past it or hide behind cover (left side has these stairs that go down into the water but has enough map terrain (not destructable cover) to hide behind. If he frenzies, use this time to clear ads or wait for him to attack and flank behind to shoot his weakspot. Usually his attacks in this phase lock him in place for a time. Rinse and repeat your thundercage and four till victory. It will still be difficult and requires you to be aware, moving, and using cover. Hope this helps and good luck! Edit: this was done solo. You can bring this into a four man but i hope your team is good

@@nrg_hadesfinish796 Bro, ugprade HP and DEF modules to tier 6-7, bring that fire resistance, upgrade your gun to max level for your area, add cold damage module to it, then go in there and kill it. Easier to solo, but quad pugs works too. I cleared it with bunny that way. A lot easier than the dps check on devourer.

What i don't understand with this boss is my fire resistance mod and my overall resistance mod are maxed out, with shield and health 50% upgraded, and the bastard still kills me in 2 to 3 hits i have been trying to kill this boss for 7 DAYS So many times we have ran out of time, or we die due to the guy landing ontop of us as we're still in animation that we cannot get out of. I cannot progress the game until i've killed the boss

When the boss jumps and teleports you, you're supposed to use your double jump to break the fall animation or use your grapple hook to pull you out of the zone so he doesn't land on you

I'm on the the 5th boss in hard mode and you need like 8000+ resistence to certain elements. It's super easy to get though. Max out your modual and the level 100 accessories will have like 3.7K resistence on them.

u have to have the correct material pattern for the boss. u can see which one is for each boss then farm the missions that drop that material. i farm a material then do the boss fight and if i dont get what i want i go farm another material

Fire resist only lowers the tick damage the boss does when you’re hit with the flame dot damage. You don’t actually even need it. You just need high health and regular defense and you’ll survive longer.

Need about 25-30k defense and about 8-15k hp to easily do the fight on your own and pretty much ignore his damage. I can now get up to 84k defense but it has to much diminished returns and better to go back towards 50k and focus health. Got up to 15k health with my Gley.

I miss ohdough playing Helldivers. There's the new ship modules and Commando which would make great videos. It is just unfortunate that VTubers jump ship so quickly to other games when there's no major content with Helldivers.

Guy is weak to pierce aka rifles, but pulse rifle does better against his armors, I'M SO LOST BTW, I don't think crit chance in this game worth investing. You have so little mod-cap to work with, if there's 20% crit chance + a 12cap crit chance mod only gives you extra 5%.

took your advice on modules and yeah the purps arent necessarily the best so i mixed mine and made a couple blue for a good loadout for bosses, and one for heavy mobs

This boss can be easier to just solo it and build an strategy around that. The boss has low HP but takes reduced damage from guns, so skills hit him harder.
