Tips that will make you win the race in classic difficulty: 1.Don't be in such a hurry, often going slower will make you manage to get past your opponents. Especially in the corners, if you're too fast, you'll spin. 2. Even in the first few times where you are sure you will lose, continue the course so you memorize the turns and the speed needed to get there, practice is key. 3. On the first and last laps, someone in front of you will always crash, so try to be on the 3rd lap at least in 4th or 5th place. 4. Use the R3 button to check the rear camera to block your opponents, on the straight, they are faster than you and will overtake you, especially on the final straight of the last lap. 5. Try not to hit anyone, you will almost always spin. If you are going to crash, release R2 and try to control the brake, it often helps you not to spin. 6. Use grass whenever you can, grass + X will help you A LOT in overtaking. 7. Always use X in the straights and carefully in the curves, if you use X too much in the curves the car will spin, but train as much as possible in the curves to use the X, this will be completely the differential for you to win the race 8. If you reach the last lap from 6 under, you can restart. 9. Don't be in a hurry, it's often better to go slow, whenever you try to go too fast in a curve or overtake, the car will spin.

Took me 2 days but i finally got the hang of it, didnt even use X at all, just used L2 to get to the proper speed for each corner and then repeatedly used Ram to correct my angle. Remembering to avoid accelerating in the grass areas too much when cutting through them took a hot second, that threw more than a few races.

Thanks to your guide I beat the race within 10 tries, this race on Classic is not actually difficult as long as u are 2nd or 3rd position at the end of first lap, the very first corner/turn is the most important and that is where u win or lose the race. Just to ease down the anxiety or to avoid panicking, I used a trick and it worked for me - before the end of the 1st and 2nd lap, I paused the game for 2-3 mins and then resumed the race.

Props to you man. I've been trying this race for 2 hours till I saw your video and saw the keeeey thing 1. first lap first turn .. L2+X combo for 2-3 times. All the other video guides were asking me to ram to the other cars to use them as a support 2. Sharp 90degree turn. I slowed down to 60mph and I could stay on the road without touching the grass I almost won the race in the 2nd attempt after watching the video but I messed up at the last turn in last lap. I don't use the brakes. If you use the speed limiter on turns to slow down you can maintain high speeds and take the turns with ease. Will still get you 6th place at best cus it's all luck

Also hitting the "ram" button will straighten out your car and push you forward to help "cheese" corners and straight aways. Guess what, day 3 and still no better then 6th place on perfect runs with no mistakes.

If you spin too much it means you are hard at breaking. Try breaking slowly in more attempts and you wont spin as much

Another tip you did not mention, don’t use the hand break. Use the speed limiter to slow down faster and more effectively around turns.

Finally got it. Took about 2 hours. There is a good bit of luck in it because any cars that hit you could cause you to spin out. So it's about 50% luck I'd say first off. Essentially it's a ballet between L2 (brake) and X (ram). OverHyped is right that the first turn is critical as well as the two following turns cutting over the grass. For the second one I found taking my finger off accelerate stopped me hitting the wall. The only times I slam the L2 is coming up to the turn @1:10 and again at 1:58 (lap 2) and again at lap 3 because you're going much faster than at the start. By the turn at :55 you do want to be in 1-3 spots. But if you fall behind a bit don't lose hope because the other cars do slow massively during turns AND a few of the leading cars are programmed to crash (this saved me on the last lap as I was coming 2nd right up until that final animation). Another final point I found about not letting cars pass you on the long stretch over the finish line area is to follow their path. They always drive close to the barrier so if you do the same on that turn they can't immeidalty bomb it ahead of you. And on this stretch you can also tap X to ram forward to pick up speed. Just remember that upcoming turn. It's the worst one Thanks @OverHyed Gamer for giving me an appreciation for the L2 / X relationshop. You definitively need to master this to win.

This is the only tutorial I have seen so far that makes sense. Excellent video! Too bad I only found it after completing the race after several hours. I read so many bad advice on how to win the race "don't rush at the start", "take your time to overtake". So wrong! The race is won on the first 3 turns. How you get through the hairpin, and how many drivers you can overtake by cutting the grass. After that you have almost no chance to overtake drivers, especially not the top 5. There are three scripted events which take out a driver in front of you in each round. So if you are 4th after the first three turns, you can win simply because of the scripted events. So drive safe and make sure nobody gets passed you. If you are not 3rd or at least 4th after the first accident I would say best bet is to restart the race. How you get throught the first corners is a lot of luck. So you just have to roll the dice a few times. Oh and of course you need to know the track to drive well once you are in a good position. But after countless tries, that should not be an issue.

Rev the engine in the beggining to go faster. It is a racing car. R2 in the beginning and perfect start. Cut left immediately so you dont lose time
