Fun fact: Mortiorchris is actually absorbing health from Seymour, not the other way around. This translates into additional health loss for Seymour, which is great for everyone...except Seymour.

Hasting Yuna, Overdriving all of her Aeons and using Lulu's poison did the trick. Died so many times to this guy and finally beat him.

You need to set your party so tidus is out as soon as the battle starts, make sure yuna is in the middle, get tidus to use haste on yuna then use all your aoen overdrives

You need to summon them then attack enemies, but make sure aeon doesn't die, or you have to restart the process, stay close to a save point so you can heal them between battles

Also few things to note: -Equip Tidus with a weapon that has First Strike on it so he can for sure get the first turn and cast Haste -Hastega is not necessary, if you don't have it just cast Haste on Yuna and you should be fine -Rikku's Hazardous Shell mix can inflict Poison and Silence at the same time as well as damage, but it doesn't always work properly and the statuses don't last indefinitely Before trying this strat I managed to get him to 6k HP without Aeon spam, and then, Total Annihilation happened. F%&k this boss.

I suppose I made a mistake in taking Tidus down the sphere grid instead of to the left where hastega is because I didn't think it would come in handy. Welp, I hope haste alone is enough because there's no way I'm grinding my way over to hastega right now.

i fully understand that this comment is six years old, but for anyone else reading, you can go backwards across nodes you've already claimed four times for every sphere level, so going backwards isn't a huge hassle

I pulled this game out today and play for the first time in a couple years. This time, I defeated this boss much different than the first time(s). Complete the Chocobo Training in the Calm Lands the first time you get there. After you can ride one, go to the Requiem Temple and do the Chocobo Race until you get the win with 3 chests and no poles which is really easy. This gives you 30x Wings to Discovery. Rikku can mix two of these for Trio of 9999 which gives every attack, physical or magic, 9999 damage. Buy 30x Holy Waters from the monster arena keeper to make one of Tidus' armours have Zombieward. When you get to the boss, have Tidue, Rikku and Lulu up. Cast Haste (if you dont have Hastega yet) on Rikku and have her mix two of the Wings of Discovery. Use Lulus overdrive for 5-6 hits of 9999. Hopefully Tidus either dodged Lance of Atrophy or avoided the Zombie status. Have him attack Seymour however you want (you probably dont have the Overdrive Slice n Dice yet). Use any gem with Rikku and thats 5 more hits of 9999. If he isnt dead yet, use whatever remaining turns you have to keep Rikku alive so she can use another gem and thats that.

Thank you for this video! I started playing the game recently and this boss was giving me a headache. I was able to overkill him with Bahamut's overdrive. I also first used haste on Yuna and had Lulu poison him first. I've done an absurd amount of walking around and fighting random battles for points so that helped a lot too. If you poison him and then cast haste on Seymour Flux he wont attack faster but he will die faster to the poison. He won´t attack using the "hasted move" but will take poison damage.

It’s crazy how much this guide trivializes the whole fight. I’ll just add that you don’t even need hastega, just using haste on Yuna alone will do the trick. Use all 5 aeon overdrives in a row coupled with lulu’s bio and you’ll be good.

I know, I usually get tidus to cast hasteaga then casts protect with yuna. Then dispell comes and annihilation. Zombie and full life. So what I did for a second time was summon yojimbo and hopely he casts zanmato.

Holy shit. I used this strategy and at the third aeon he used some weird spells so my attacks weren't doing 9999. So i had to use Auron overdrive, Tidus, and Wakka's. He was one attack away from wiping out my party but he had 160 health left so I had to call on my man Tidus and pray to Yevon that I landed that final blow and I did. That was amazing but I hate Seymour Flux with a passion although his music is cool.

I finally beat the game. The ending was incredible and I loved the final series of boss fights. Although, I was kinda bummed that Sin was easier than I expected. I kind of cheated the fight by spamming Holy but oh well.

Btw instead of using hastega you can also use rikkus overdrive and mix a Mighty G from 2 power distillers at the very beginning of the fight to cast haste / shell to your whole party. Great video!
