How to beat Soul Warrior and how to get Shade Soul

This battle was extremely hard for me, so thanks to a fellow youtuber, I fought the cowardly way.

@@Ascera_exists For me soul master was super easy, I beat him second try. It took me 5 tries to beat the first soul warrior and I'm having trouble beating second one without cheesing it

@@dogelove9967 First soul warrior took me more tries than it should’ve. Died 2 times but I beat it. Soul Master took like 5 or 6 attempts. Second Soul Warrior was 1st try.

For anyone still struggling, use lifeblood heart, shaman stone, and soul catcher. This helped immensely for me.

The moment I equipped all these charms I defeated him ! I used shaman stone and soul catcher , but not lifeblood heart before that and couldn't kill him 😅 plus desolate dives helped when falling down. Thanks !

Shaman Stone instead of Mark of Pride. Use Descending Dark/Desolate Dive while landing. Invincibility frames will avoid hits & Shaman will fry him with the exxtra damage.

this was the one. anyone still struggling, desolate dive is the answer. fries the shaman + kills any ghosts/follies that are around too.

Nice build. Your method focused more on timing. I was able to defeat him by randomly moving around & avoid getting hit as much I can. But the basic idea is the same, harvest soul from spawning enemies and spam attacks on the boss.

Ok, why is there only one ghost at a time coming out? I fight this guy using that same wall trick and I'm getting two and three ghosts at a time and it's an endless stream of them. Also the Soul Warrior goes further away and shjots his fire balls hitting me in the same upper corner of the room. And last but not least he's a good deal more aggressive during my fights than what I'm seeing here. He dashes constantly and nearly never even gives me enough time to drop to the floor and fire off my ranged attack. At most I've gotten 2 shots off before getting hit. I'm on PS4 Pro, which has no mods or cheat tools that I am aware of. So what gives? I have the same health as you do and pretty much everything else for the most part except desolate dive. I cannot for the life of me beat the Soul King boss in City of Tears.

I was on the PS4, not the pro. I was not using any cheats. I know I defeated the soul king boss in the city of tears before I defeated this guy. I believe that is why the ghouls were present because of that defeat. I think I have a video to defeat the soul king...

Got it on the first try :D I used fragile strength, fragile heart, steady body and defender’s crest. I only have one nail upgrade so for the fight i tanked most of the damage and just try as much as hits on the soul warrior as possible and let defenders crest take care of the ghosts.

Its hard to explain in writing, but like when the knight is hanging on the wall and they are sliding down, you will need to act quickly to keep the knight on the wall. When the ghosts come, you will need to multi task to stay on the wall and hit them with your nail...

you don't press left, just let the stick go neutral and swing. HK will swing away from the wall by default while sliding down it.

There are two of these guys (Soul Warrior). One in the beginning of Soul Sanctum, then the Soul Master (boss). This guy is behind the door you need the elegant key for. The first Soul Warrior doesn't have the follies. Only the second version of this guy has the follies. This really screwed me up, also, for a few runs. I started thinking I had a glitched game for a bit.
