A couple of other tips. When you take the lava cannon thingy to go to the onion long legs part, don’t immediately hop out. Go around back with the lava guy and there’s a heart back there. 2: There is an additional secret that goes along with the extra heart that he showed how to get in the vid during the long legs part. Stand on top of the block that had the heart in it as the stretchy guy. Fully extend his legs, jump to the left and the jump out and cap dive onto the ledge and you can skip straight to the yoshi section.

You don't need to move left and right for the wall jumps, Mario automatically does it. It's actually better you don't just in case you move out of the linear plane. Not sure if the game locks it in the 2D plane for it normally but it is linearized in the soft-lock glitch.

I need to report on the fact that this no longer works... unfortunately. It seems like everything is going fine, until you start nearing the Bowser painting and, without fail, you’ll hit your time limit with Glydon and fall right into the lava. It’s happened to me 4 times now 😔 Edit: it actually still works but you have to fly far to the right, then swing back in towards the painting as you are nearing the end. As soon as Mario uncaptures Glydon, quickly throw your hat and dive towards the painting of Bowser. If done right, you’ll land right in front of it. Sure, it’s extremely difficult, but nothing compared to actually going through the final 1/4 of the level. Good luck!

Soon as you Chuck you hat in the flying dude. Don’t mess about. Just jump and get into that first world wind as soon as possible. The first few seconds you save by doing this at the beginning will go a long way, specially at the end to you don’t fall in the lava. Good luck 🤞🏽

5:00 there’s a really easy way to skip this whole section. If you stand on the edge of the platform that the scarecrow is under, and do a downwards throw, then shake the controller, you can activate that section while still on the platform. That platform actually goes up when you activate that section, so you just wait for it to take you to the top.

5:11 stand on the ON TOP of the little platform with the scarecrow on the bottom of it and perform a downward (shake your controller downward) throw cappy then make him home in by pressing either (Y) or shaking your right controller to again the right. Might take you a few try’s but if you do this it’s well worth it because you can skip this and go directly to the flygon(?) and you get rewarded with a heart :) your welcome.

I think there was a patch where an invisible wall was installed in front and side of Bowser's entrance. What people do now is fly around the entire bowser's building and land at the rear landing pad (where the electric thing is). This basically skips everything. Make sure to fly around everything, including the lava at the side of the building as it also has an invisible wall against glydons. Check newer videos

5:10 if your having trouble with that just stand next to the scarecrow and go into 2 player mode then make cappy take of so he will not come back to you once that's done you need to have mario stand on the platform then have cappy move to the scarecrow and then you will be in the air on the platform and it rewards you with a heart and then you just skipped that comment if your having trouble with this process

If you jump after you are on the heart question block you can avoid the frozen water section and for the wall jump section if you throw a homing cap you can stand on top of the scarecrow block and it goes up.

You can also bypass the rest of the section at 3:13 by jumping onto the block, and then high jumping off, uncapturing, wall jumping, and then diving on to the top of the platform. You’ll get some coins, and be led straight to the Yoshi section!

This gliding tip doesn't seem to work all the way with my cheap third party wireless controller. It seems to have varied results. I would advise against relying on this glide tip unless you've got a controller with excellent motion/tiltometre controls.

There is a skip for that section before the big skip- down throw your cap and shake from on top of the block with the scarecrow. Cappy should capture it and you get lifted to the top.

If you jump and dive very quickly during the pole section, you can get on top of the poles and skip that part entirely.

You can skip the wall with the gold rings. Stand on top of the upside down scarecrow, throw your cap, shake the controller and it'll activate the timer challenge. But what you're standing on will act like an elevator and just take you right to the top of the wall.

This video is outdated, and since then an invisible wall for glydons were put in front and side of Bowser's building. If your speed running the darker side when you go to the part where you use the green guy (I forgot his name sorry) when you have to push the platform down you can long jump unto a crappy bounce past the platform down to the water part
