Saddest thing in this movie is how the signs of the traitor were all there: 1. Didn't attend the in-between punishment moments (or HtB thought it wasn't important... fair enough) 2. Landed on a "safe" thing when they were being "punished" (why have an escape from punishments? Entertainment ig) 3. Reason for the rest was "talentless celebrities" but she was definitely talented, being a chess genius.

It was such a terrible plot twist, too. I was already done with the movie when she lost the chess match, seeing as it's literally her biggest talent and I just _wasn't_ willing to believe that the kidnapper was capable of beating her. So when it turned out he rigged the game to let her survive the wheel of punishments... ????? tf? he could've just let her win the chess match if he wanted her to live, damn. I mean I get it, he wanted to force the other two to die without risking his honey, but at that point he just loses his (delusional) moral high ground about everyone else not having earned what they got in life. ESPECIALLY when you find out his true identity Okay billionaire trustfund baby and the woman who literally had to cheat the system to win a death game, nobody else but you two have "earned" your current lifestyle. Suuuuure. Man, I hate when thrillers fall flat in the writing department. If you fuck it up when writing your _villain,_ the backbone of the plot, it just kind of sours everything else.

The biggest mistake Ximena made during the death battle against Ula was that she kept yelling giving away her location!

This one is pretty unbeatable. They could rush the guards, best case scenario beating them and obtaining three guns, but they are still locked in a facility and the organisers seem to have access to dangerous chemicals so I don't think that would end well. Still, I'd rather die fighting on my terms than fighting on their terms and killing at least one guard before death could be considered a win in such a bad situation.

But he should try and touch Lonnie with his feet. when fighting in the dark the best thing to do is make as little sound as possible and listen closely for footsteps or breathing. That way you will stay undetected while detecting the other person's location. Also if swung fast weapons sometimes make a swishing sound as they cut through the air. By listening to the sound of the swing and it's frequency you can determine your opponent's fighting style.

Cat's character was well placed. She isn't famous for her looks or KZbin qualities, but for her skill, which makes her likable. She also stepped to the background so she would neither get the most nor the least votes. For the analysis of the movie I missed the possibility to actually 'beat' the game instead of just 'winning' it. Your chance of surviving alone is pretty slim (if you're not Cat), so the move should be to team up against the mastermind in any way possible. So: 1. You have to establish a way of communication the mastermind can't decipher (writing little notes and destroying them immediately for example) 2. Play by the rules, but look for non-fatal options. Not all challenges have to end in a death. 3. Prepare for an ambush on the Panda guys with the MGs. It's not likely to take them on without casualties but you're on a number advantage and can use the interior, dishes and glasses to trouble their aim. Once armed and maybe even a hostage, you might improve your chances of survival. The audience might even approve this
