I like the concept that losing isn't the end. Players just go back to their mundane lives for awhile. It gives more players a chance to have recurring roles rather than just being the friend or nemesis of the main character. "Oh hey, you're that guy I killed 3 games ago. How's life been treating you? Win any games recently?"

Yeah I’ve always found that in death games that literally kill people becomes an excuse for people acting stupid because they’re scared of dying. These guys can be more expirienced because they’ve had practiced and think more logically because it really is a type of game

I'm just saying that if a death game is going to stretch across multiple rounds and matches, it shouldn't be the same 3-4 people surviving while everyone else is killed off, never to be seen again.

i love that the friend is usefull. so often you have the trope of the main characters friend being an idiot that needs to be saved. having him be goofy but also able to get serious is so much better.

On the falling sky one, if I realized the glowing tiles were safe, i would stand on one myself and not tell anyone. Most folks would die and no one would blame me. When theres so little people, it will be much easier.

Despite the 'plot armor' at the end, Player 5 was a newbie to playing Death Games. Most people would hesitate to "go for the kill", until they have to in order to survive.

Yes! I love the more logic-centered ones like Squid Games & Zero, where thinking & creativity is rewarded [aka not just tortur3/g0re f3tish p0rn]. If you like that sub-genre, check out the Japanese live-action movie "As The Gods Will" (based on the eponymous manga). I think it likely heavily influenced Squid Game, though akin to Battle Royale influencing Hunger Games: similar starting point, very different execution.

Only problem with the first game of what you said. There'd be no advantage to target sleeping people over the guards. Because its loudly announced moments after someone dies. So everyone would be woken up, no matter who died

By telling a lie with a binary (yes/no) answer, it gives away enough info by default. "I'm the murderer" *Doesn't disappear* *Reveals that they're not the killer AKA personal info* *Proceeds to disappear*

The first thing they should have done with the "no personal information" rule was demand a more thorough definition of "personal information" because that can range from saying the thoughts in your head, which are personal information, to sharing details of your past. If the game does not elaborate, a risky strategy could be making an argument that whatever you're doing is not sharing personal information before you do it, or arguing that based on precedent, it cannot be considered personal information. For instance, instead of saying "there's nothing we can use" say "What I am about to say is not personal information as I am stating an observable reality. As it is in the physical world and observable to other players, this is not personal information. There does not appear to be anything we can use." Certainly a strategy you may not want to be the guinea pig for, but ambiguous wording can be either a massive threat or a major advantage and figuring out which it is is important.

6:15 OK, so we've confirmed that the killer is using poison needles or darts, as a weapon. The needle went into the neck, one of the smaller targets on the body. For it to be so precise, I have 2 thoughts: - the poison must need to be administered directly into the neck, to be effective. - it must've happened nearby. Understanding this, it's a good thing we're all wearing thick jackets with hoods on them. Keep your hood up and the only way for the killer to stick you with the needles would be if they were standing right beside you.

It's not that great of an idea, because needles aren't the only weapon... wearing a hood will reduce your peripheral vision by a ton, and also your earing, so they can actually get quite close to you and attack, before you realize whats going on. But you can still use some sort of cloth to cover your neck though, its just that a hood has more disadvantages than advantages.

The race game was the easiest challenge to beat if they hadn't all ran full speed the first time. If you had three people and knew it would be a multiple round game then the 1st round should always be a throw away where you try 3 different strategies. Have the runner girl charge up the middle and drain every station she passes, have one of the guys recharge every other station on a side path and try to convince the opponent's team to win cooperatively if they meet, and then have the last guy take his time. Then once the second, in this case "real" round starts have everyone charge through their paths and refuel at every station if you didn't meet an opponent the first time.

There was an easy way to win the first game. Ask someone if they have weapons or tools that can be used to kill someone inside of their case. The rule that restricts us from revealing personal information can be easily manipulated. If they say yes and are telling the truth (Which means they're the killer), then they would be eliminated. If they said yes while lying, then they wouldn't be eliminated. It's a foolproof way to get the killer out.

Trying to coerce or draw out personal info is against the rules. Whoever suggests it would be disqualified. A better strategy is to tell everyone to open their cases, then take 3 steps back. Players then all walk in a circle, allowing each other to examine the other cases.

The genius main character not realizing the semi-obvious twists to each of his puzzles like player 7 giving player 6 the poison water or the maze being a race against *themselves* is definitely the writers drawing the puzzle out to the last chance to make it more dramatic.

I wouldve took my chances standing with someone on the same platform, that was my immediate plan. All those girls were small/skinny enough to fit together so they couldve survived much longer instead of them all dying from tripping over. Muscle guy could even carry somone on his shoulders probably..Thats like 3 winners right there

At the beginning of the game, yes, but by that point of the game, the tiles were spaced apart, so I don't know if that affected anything. Either way, it was considered cheating. 🤷‍♀️

The thing i hate the most in horror movies is that dumb bs one character will do, ie, yelling at a character they don't see or know of about killing them and then walking off from the group alone. Like it's such a cheap way to kill off a character. everyone knows they're gonna die the moment they do that. It's like in scream 2 when randy starts instigating ghost face into killing him and then him ending up dead moments later. RIP randy, best character also it was super obvious #7 was the killer just from a few seconds of the video. If you watched the first movie, she gives off literally every sign of being the killer before the first kill

The first game is the easiest one to beat if you all agree to open your briefcase and have the person next to you check and see if the items are the same. Whoever refuse is killer whoever is different is killer. If all are different form a team based on resources . The 2nd game is easy and none can lose if you all share but if you all share you can deduce the game might just eliminate all squares but two. So it's all luck The 3rd one is the Maze it's easy aswell if you don't use anything on the trail. Or use the devices before the ones you did on practice.

In the first challenge, can't you just make them line up and attack them one by one ( ofc explaining why you will attack them) , by doing that you will figure out which one is the killer or if the killer is in the group, cause one of the rules say to not attack the killer or you will be disqualified, so if you get disqualified while attacking someone then that someone is the killer and automatic 9 points , and if not then you know you can trust that no one in the group is the killer
