2 things about the 3rd trap. You can’t just touch live wire and not get electrocuted. The thing about this movie, the reasons they were put in traps were actually fairly good, but then there is the fact the traps were pretty much made to be unbeatable. Getting others sent to jail for something they didn't do, shooting a man because he insulted you, hiding the horrible things your fellow cops have done, those are good reasons to punish them, but John made the games fair (That was his goal at least), it would have been nice to see fair traps and good reasons for the people being put in them.

My alternative solutions: Train trap: Tongue device appears simply to be a bar that has been screwed to tighten. Manually unscrewing the bar may be possible, at least worth a try. If not, break out of razor wire by pulling wrists apart with palms facing towards eachother. Arteries and tendons are located on inside of wrist, so this method helps keep your hands mobile and reduces chance of bleeding out. Next take razor wire and cut off the end of the tongue and slide the rest out. If you keep the end of your tongue you can even have it reattached if you seek medical attention quickly enough. Water trap: Removing the copper wire doesn't work because there is a strong current and you have no available insulator to safely remove it with. Instead, I would try simply stepping out of the pool. It sounds dumb, but in the clip there doesn't appear to be anything binding him except the fishnet hands. Once out of the pool, I would have plenty of time to figure out a way to get the fishnets off or escape. Hot wax: To elaborate on the presented solution, the cloth could be moved off by using the tongue to slowly push it off of the mouth. Blood draining: Blood is only being drained by gravity, as said in the video, simply knot most of the tubes, and move the ones nearest to the stairs up the stairs to reverse the flow. Take the blood collected in the jars from the rest of the tubes and pour them into the jar atop the stairs.
@jdjsjejsjejwnw13483 жыл бұрын
@@FlyingParrot225 Not really. The only major blood vessel is the lingual artery, but it's relatively minor. Sure, there would be heavy bleeding, but with some pressure to the area you should be fine. Even in the worst case scenario, your chances of survival are still better than trying to dodge a train by swinging yourself in a narrow tunnel.
@LegDayLas3 жыл бұрын
train trap- simply wouldn't work as already stated above. Plus it requires mutilation, which is something easy to say you should do, but not something most people would be willing to actually do. water trap- Ya this would prob work tbh lol. the water that overflows might still be carrying a current though (as all it would take is a continuous stream from the top to the floor) so in that case you will still get electrocuted through your feet, as the pooling water would eventually be under you. Wax trap- yep, would be pretty doable. Blood trap- bingo, it's all being done by gravity, just fucking reverse it. It's insane that they actually put that big ass staircase there. Practically screaming this one at the screen when I saw how stupid this trap was.
@jdjsjejsjejwnw13483 жыл бұрын
@@LegDayLas Idk, I know for sure if my life was on the line I'd be quick to lose a tip of my tongue for it. Also, keep in mind that the tongue has been squeezed tightly for a long amount of time, cutting of circulation to the nerve cells in it. Theres a chance that this actually has killed off enough nerve cells to significantly reduce the pain of cutting, which combined with the adrenaline rush in the situation would be enough to naturally anesthetize the area, hopefully at least enough to quickly cut it. Also for the electricity one, I didn't get a good look, but if the victim was wearing shoes they would actually be fine from the electric shock since the rubber soles would act as an insulator if that's the only part the water was touching. Plus, a lot of machinery and stuff in that room, I don't think the killer would have wanted it all to get covered by the water. And, most modern electric systems have built in GFCIs that prevent excessive charge from surging out, so realistically, unless the wire was linked to an off-grid electrical generator, the current would cut off pretty quickly after the contact with the water.
@jdjsjejsjejwnw13483 жыл бұрын
@@FlyingParrot225 Well it's pretty unlikely that the trapper would wait for you in a train tunnel with active traffic. Also the premise of the Saw series is typically that the saw killer gives victims a chance to fight for their lives in the traps as opposed to flat out killing them, so in this movie universe if you escaped the killer would likely consider you to have earned it.
@LegDayLas3 жыл бұрын

Remember how the first saw was a metagame about one guy needing to hold out for 8 hours while the other had to find a way to kill him to save his family, and the lack of honesty was because any honest moves gave the other a reason to not help them. Yeah, then it just devolves into elaborate "either die horribly or mutilate yourself while dying horribly. You have 2 minutes. Also it's all your fault."
@DWN0372 жыл бұрын
That's something that I always thought was silly, because the first Saw was so complex specifically because it only revolves around one room and one case - the rest of the series doesn't really click because you don't have the same 'who could Jigsaw be' feeling. The individual traps are memorable because they're vignettes that you get just to heighten tension in the main room - you're _scared_ through the whole movie because at any moment things could get _real._

@Cheetahgirl_Studios3 жыл бұрын
Yeah Kramer’s intention was never vengeance: he wanted people to learn their lesson. To kind of “redeem” themselves for their past misdeeds. I know that he got a bit carried away in what he perceived to be a “misdeed” as the original film series went on, but he shot one of his protégées dead for rigging the traps to be unbeatable. Ignoring how so many of the traps throughout the series are ridiculously hard to beat if not rigged, I would consider all of them with a time limit beginning soon after they wake up impossible. They all require you to be thinking clearly and logically to beat, and when waking up after being passed out for a while you’re sort of out of it for a few moments. I once passed out for barely 2 minutes and when I woke up it took me at least 30 seconds to realize where I was and who the people around me were (and I can’t imagine how much longer this would take if you’re alone and in an unfamiliar place). Then there’s the panic. I do not care if you’re a god damn marine there is no way in hell you’re going to calm down in such a short amount of time if you wake up in a elaborate death trap with a psychotic pig man asking to play a game, you can not be trained for that. At best you’d thrash about for a while, at worst you’re sent into a panic attack (probably what would happen to me). Take the finger trap for example, even if you gather your bearings and calm down from panicking in a minute, it’s still gonna take a while to rip your own fingers off. We have the benefit of time, safety, and a clear mind to find solutions.

I would go for baiting actually, the killer would most likely be cautious and more concentration in one place means less in another. Someone will be alone at some time and will die. However if you act stupid and bait him somehow it would be way easier
@chillyspinner31833 жыл бұрын
This was my immediate thought. Why on earth was anyone going anywhere alone? Make sure you always have other people with you and then call the FBI to deal with the situation. I might even suggest going so far as to keep all the cops holed up in the precinct; this makes it a lot less likely someone to be able to go off on their own and get killed (though I guess not impossible due to the fact that, somehow, William/Charles manages to set up a trap with melting wax in their freaking evidence room without getting caught). This doesn’t even remove the opportunity to use dirty cops as bait; you can keep everyone else out of the way and safe at the precinct or focused on that particular situation so that they can be ready to rush in and save whoever is there. The biggest flaw would be the dilemma of taking cops off of other cases, because we wouldn’t want to ignore distress calls, but I’m sure there would be a work around for this due to the very specific circumstances. You could have people from another precinct temporarily stepping in to handle things or even have some FBI agents stepping into handle it while others focus on solving the serial killer case. Regardless, I think it could be done.

The 2nd trap with the fingers. You mention that he has fishnets on his fingers and can be cut off with a shard of the fluorescent bulb. Those arent fishnets. They are a type of tension head that can be placed on a wires to be pulled through a pipe. They work like a chinese finger trap and they are metal. However since they work from that tension it should be a lot easier to remove your fingers from the traps as long as there isnt something preventing you from removing them by relieving the tension. John Kramer’s victims were chosen as candidates for transformation; people he saw as evil or wasteful in their lives that needed to be taught the value of the gift of life. All of his traps were survivable tests, at least that was their intention. These traps weren’t meant to instruct: just to punish.
@ststst9813 жыл бұрын
@@aapgriekseei8900 John Kramer's traps were not always beatable and more often than not required someone to die against their will. Even in the first trap ever, the reverse bear trap, Amanda had to kill another person to survive. And he usually targeted people who more often than not were bad people because of just being delt a bad hand in life. I mean one of his fucking lessons was for a detective to learn to wait for backup, and nearly everyone died because of this "lesson". Just straight up killing corrupt and homicidal officers was probably making a greater positive impact on the community than trying to teach dumb "lessons"

Even if it's a week or two, solid work can be done to find a connection between the victims and the possible suspects or targets. Due to officers being killed so frequently, the detectives weren't able to investigate or even think properly due to the overwhelming frequency of the killings. If you sat Zeke (Chris Rock) in the office with files of all the victims and he wasn't constantly going to murder scenes and drug dealers, he could definately make the proper connections and deductions

Actually, the tongue trap wouldn't be that bad if he just pushed his tongue back through it. He may rip some skin, but that's nowhere near tearing your jaw off or getting splattered by a train. The raising water trap was as easy as just leaving it then taking your time getting your fingers free, which wouldn't be hard either as they're basically just Chinese finger traps, so removing them would be a breeze once at least A finger is freed. Getting out of the hot wax one wouldn't really be an option, but CS's way is the best. Just tilt your head so that it runs away from your nose, and boom. You can wait. You could also purposefully leave your mouth open, so when it gets covered, you can close it and break the wax. For the shredded glass, *just climb on top of it and push the bottles out of the way so they don't fall on* it's not hard, and it has a finite amount, so you would eventually clear it out.

Just something to add. For the final trap (when saving the dad), you should not remove the needles from him. Removing impaled object breaks any clotting that occurred around the area and will make him start bleeding more, especially with how large those needles are. What you should do is remove the tubing, while leaving the needles in, and bandage them up with something to ensure they don't get ripped out on accident.

Hey, How To Beat. In trap 2 you would actually have killed the victim with your advice. If the cable in question was power and not ground then touching it when you are standing in the miniralized water would kill you. However, the trap is a lot more useless then that. If the wire is a live wire then that means that the spout is isolated from the pool and everthing else. This means that you can just climb up on the table and slowly wait it out.
