Brakes don't all of a sudden lock up unless somebody pushes the pedal. They can seize up due to inactivity while being left outside for months. However, the car obviously would be stuck to begin with. Somebody would have to do some tampering to have the brakes engage while moving.

@@Kratos-eg7ez I agree that anti-self defense laws are pernicious and illegitimate - bulletproof plates are illegal in some places here, no excuse for that. However the mace thing is not in that category. I've been sprayed with the bear repellent (long drunk story, don't ask) and I can tell ya, its more than strong enough. No bear, dog, or human can tolerate that horrible spray for long.

This doesn't seem like a great movie, but Kathy's actress really nailed that death scene. Just that little clip displayed here was genuinely emotional and badass. These kinds of "not letting the villain get what they *really* want" scenes are so hard to not make corny, but they really nailed it here.

For the handcuff combat bit I would try to get him distracted with one person while the other gets behind and uses the handcuffs to choke him out. It makes the handcuffs fairly useful and the only difficult part is getting behind him.

If your hands were tied in front of you, I could totally see it. But how exactly do you do it when they are tied behind you? Just trying to raise your hands to head level behind your back is already awkward, so I don't think you could generate enough force even if you got your hands around his neck.

That would leave them doing a break stand at 40 which might stall or blow the motor in that crap box immediately. In that case the car wouldn’t move very well after but it could. Maybe the tire popped after, if the same thing that popped the tire blew the breaks it would be a miracle. Let me know if you have a better theory Im not an expert.

They wanted it to be a 'modern entertainment make men murderers who kill young women' hit piece...but the killer STOPPED killing people because of the guy's comics.
