I've been following this channel back when I started my youtube channel in the beginning of the year and have to say even though I'm struggling tremendously, I've learned a lot from this channel, thus making me one of the loyal audience. That being said, it was interesting to see the differences between 2019 and 2020, everyone is so focused on trying to "beat" youtube, whereas you want to hone in on your content and try to bring value to the audience which is exactly what I try to do, but yes, it is difficult and yes im still struggling and hope to reach my first goal or 1K, then my 2nd goal afterwards :)

What I love about KZbin analytics is it's rather simple when compared with Google Analytics - also it seems like there is a faster understanding of what content works and what doesn't when compared to blog content...you showed how you went from chasing potentially viral content to content that served your audience longer term - what would be interesting is to see the relationship between potentially viral content and longer term - I imagine you are still having trends inform your content creation even as you create more sustainable content - what's that bridge that allows you to merge the two? My bet is that you have developed a system for identifying and creating that bridge and that would be interesting to see...

I think something I have definitely learned throughout the process of starting a channel is that.. I have been watching KZbin for YEARS it has turned into almost something like Netflix for me. We depend on viewers to return to our channel and growing that loyal fan base is how we grow a channel. The rate of growth is determined by two variables. How many new loyal viewers we gain, and how many loyal viewers we lose. The bigger the difference, the faster we grow. With this new feature, we can figure out how much content we need to keep viewers engaged and what kind of content. On the other hand, we can exactly see what type of content brings in new viewers.

Yeah. I’m in a quite similar situation. I nearly have 1K subs, however, I am nowhere near 4K hours of watch time. As long as you meet the requirements, you can apply for the YPP, the timeline of when you reach the two does not matter.

I think that if you wanna beat the youtube algorithm trash content is basically the easiest way to reach popularity and fame. Think about that, if you are good looking, fun and make stupid stuff on camera you are rich and famous. KZbinrs like Logan Paul and others are always famous: they've built their huge audience trough doing stupid stuff, if you do this you will always create cloud. The algorithm wants that. Society wants that.
