This boss isn't technically hard but it is extremely frustrating the way they drag this boss battle, included the eggman one and the "hidden final boss". On top of it if you loose you have to restart the whole thing. You know how stupid and painfully frustrating it is to be fighting a boss for 9 minutes just to die and have to re-do it all over again. Looking at you LAST STORY boss.

Yeah, even the "bad" Sonic games didn't make you fight a final boss for that long, and force you to repeat phase one, and on top of that, they at least had the courtesy to make the final boss it's own separate stage. (Which they should of done in this game.) We finally get a great retro Sonic game (besides "Mania") and yet it has the most unfair and longest final bosses in Sonic history. It is good that they made Fang a more threatening villain though.

Not that it was a bad boss (it's amazing!) but Sonic 2 final boss does make you start from the beginning. Altho for that one the mecha sonic phase is super short and Eggman isn't too long of a fight. @@beauwalker9820

Honestly I found the super sonic final boss to be the easiest out of the 3. Only took me a few attempts to do it unlike Eggmans which took 2 hours and Fangs which took 3-4 hours of insanity.

it's not that it's hard to beat, it's just that it's hard to consistently not make mistakes that end up to be fatal, which, compared to sonic 1 and sonic 2, is VERY annoying considering that, one mistake equals death and even if you know the patterns, it takes a shitton of time to get back to where you died, and it's even worse when you make a mistake that even beginners wouldn't make

And goodluck with RNG attacks near the end. The one at 7-42 hane 10% chance to destroy the whole screen ala Sonic 4 ep.1 final boss, dropping you into death pit with no way to escape the fate.

Sonic is an all ages game but meant for teens wdym. Sonic was never exclusively for kids. Just check out sonic frontiers final horizon or the shift back to “dark” stories.

Stop the cap and misinformation... most of, if not all Sonic games are rated E/E10+ which both are E for Everyone including Frontiers. Altho this doesn't mean the bosses can't be challenging. Best example is Sonic 2 final boss. Even then... S2 final boss wasn't as tedious and annoying as all three Superstars "Final Bosses"@@gamercentral2417

This fight is the worst boss in Sonic history. I have been at it for what feels like months just on this boss alone and I can't do it, the fight is too long and just even the smallest mistake throws me to the start and the emeralds do little to nothing to help, and this is just awful boss design for Sonic, I should feel engaged and having fun the whole time but instead I'm just being slow and waiting for a chance to attack and dodging for like ten minutes at a time and it just gets boring to have to try again and again and it's very little pay off in the end anyway. ugh, Superstars could very well be on my worst Sonic game list of all time.
