The second part is a bit and if you mess around and fall off the map (which is how you’re going to die there) you have to reset and do the entire battle again. The beginning battle is a slog to get through. They needed to make the second part a respawn area. It’s not fun for me anymore and I just want to get it over with.

The Eggman fight is easy once you learn his weakness and good timing helps with his 2nd Phase. Fang’s 1st Phase was pain but eventually I learned how it worked 2nd Phase feels so stupid no matter how many times I should be hitting his head, he yets me off a cliff and I have to start all over again or get stupidly hit by an object.

You can actually hit Sonic's final boss during the runner portion when he switches the gravity to zero G. You just need to slowly navigate to his head while floatng and time pressing jump to jumpball into his head. Maneuvering over to his head and timing the hit is easier than you think. Helps a lot to score that free hit and skip the cycle. Theres a lot of people dont know anything about that 0 gravity gimmick. You can do more than float. The jumpball move during 0 G actually has like 8-10 frames of invulnerability like a dodge move, which you can use for getting through lasers in the earlier level when combined with the fact that you can jump from wall to wall to be fast enough to pass fully through during the dodge. The jumpball dodge can also save you in the boss fight if you get a little too close to those electricity balls while trying to get the head. Its quite handy but isnt explained anywhere.

Just to add to this, there's two emerald powers that are super useful on the Anti-grav phase. You can use the Vine emerald power just before he starts the phase to move above his head, so when the anti-gravity starts you are already located beyond the energy sparks' range. The Slow Time emerald power can also be used just before he initiates anti-gravity to easily move around before the energy sparks advance too much.

You can "cheese" this with Tails. When you know he starts the low gravity part just fly above his head and wait till it starts. This way you have 0 risk of getting hit

The Eggman boss fight gave me some trouble my first time fighting him (which was on stream), but aside from the bottomless pits he causes, it’s not that bad. Though the lack of a checkpoint sucks. It’s very easy to cheese this boss as Tails (which I did do to get the Golden Enemy Hunter achievement to unlock. It only counts if it’s defeated in the same life you beat the stage with). Fang drove me nuts. No checkpoints and a common move that instantly kills you is just… awful. The headbutt attack, even if I manage to hit him with it, I fly back, hit his spikey hand, and then get knocked further back into the bottomless pit it made. Not good at all.

That `s weird that you could escape being trapped in webs. For me getting trapped in the webs is ivariable instant death as controls are completely locked and Fang just whacks you with his claw for Screen KO with no way to escape.

For Fang's second "Shadow Clone" attack, use the White Emerald. Trip spits fireballs so you can attack him from a safe distance with no risk of falling or getting hit. EDIT: May also work with the headbutt. Haven't tried it myself yet

Phase 2 of the Eggman fight is a lot less daunting when you break it down. Outside of the gravity mechanic, it's largely just a remixed variation of the Sonic 3 & Knuckles final boss.

Tip: if you get caught by the web, SPAM THE JUMP BUTTON. Not only will you be able to evade getting one-shot, but it'll stop shooting webs and will skip to the part where it spawns enemies and barrel thingies so you can damage it.

Use the multi character emerald power during the bosses final phase, you can land the final two hits on him before he starts swinging his fists, that way you cut out the bullsh#t before it even has a chance to start to it.

Tip: Use Tails for the main story final boss, and when Eggman throws his arm or arms down (depending on how many time you hit him) fly up and just tap the fly button and dodge the sparks. Hope this helps! (Found this out myself by the way)

About Trip final boss you can use white yellow and blue emeralds to skip hard stuff in first phase, they will refresh in second phase. And then he shoot webs its better to always try to wait first shoot inside, he always start to shoot you with cannons if he see you trapped between them (very helpful in last hits then he use double cannon)

I quit the game during Trip’s final boss. I already wasn’t having fun with her story, especially with locking the true final boss behind it, and I’d already wasted three hours on this fight alone. But to finally get to the end of the fight only to be killed by some Sonic 4 Episode 1 BS and have seven more minutes of my life go to waste immediately killed any interest I had in ever fully finishing this game. One of the worst bosses I’ve ever fought in a video game, and in a game that already has pretty terrible bosses. Super quick tip: in act 2 as Trip, if you get the ring monitors at the beginning of the level, you can turn Super without spending rings by cancelling it with L1 and R1 at the right time, even in the boss

Something I learned in the Eggman fight is that you CAN actually land an extra hit in phase two when he does the electric attack. It's VERY risky though and you will often get hit on it, but it's worth it to skip through the fight faster because waiting for 8-10 minutes just to die to the arm spin (the VERY LAST HIT, which is so evil) is so unbelievably stupid

In Act 1 the game hints us several times that we can use spin attack during the anti gravity section. I feel like it is the developers’ way of trick us into thinking using spin attack on this pattern is a smart idea. It probably at best save less than 20 seconds so big no for most players.

For trips final boss when fang tries to headbutt the ground use either the red (bullet) or yellow (slow) emerald powers to either reach the top of the screen and tackle him or slow down time to avoid the attack

I actually really enjoyed the Fang boss fight. It's hard, but nothing about it is unfair. You CAN learn how to consistently deal with everything he throws at you. The 1-hit KO moves can be undoubtedly frustrating. I don't think players play a Sonic game to fight a KH superbosses on Critical mode. But if you already know how to dodge everything, these 1-hit KO moves aren't much different than any other attack. I died plenty of times when fighting him. But when I won for the first time, it felt genuinely good. That's how I know it was a good boss. The true final boss though (the purple dragon)? That one's actually bad! It's too luck based. You just hope rings will appear frequently enough close to you so you can survive. His attack patterns are mostly fair, but non of them hurt you (except for the insta-kill black holes, which you have to sacrifice rings to escape from). It happens that, at times, it's preferable to get hit by a move so you can get rings nearby. IN WHAT BOSS WOULD YOU WANT TO PURPOSELY GET HIT??????? Also it takes about 7 minutes to defeat, which is dumb. There are other not-so-great bosses in the game because you wait too much for openings, but non of them are unfair. I'll genuinely take the Silver boss fight from 06 over the dragon because A. It's relatively short, and B. You can manipulate him to grab stuff so you won't get grabbed yourself. Silver isn't too RNG. This dragon IS unfair.

On Knack, I found it just easier to ignore trying to hit him on his headbutt. Cause unlike with Robotnik's headbutt, you don't automatically bounce back to the platform, so it's easy to die and have to go through another 10 minutes, infact you may even just jump through him sometimes somehow. Just ignore it, let him do the bouncing bomb drops again, just survive that attack, don't get greedy, cause the price of greed is way too much time.

you can use the Spindash to cross the Fang, and hit him from behind in the First Phase, but he has to be above you, so the Spindash doesn't hit him

Thanks for the tip, it's definitely made this boss fight better than going in completely blind, but I can't get past the second phase. Even following your tips, I ALWAYS find a way to somehow get caught in one of the stupid nets. Now I haven't played every single Sonic game made to date, but I think I can safely say that this might be the worst boss fight in the history of the franchise. And the thing is it's not even a hard boss, it's just the stupid one hit kills and the fact that you have to start the fight all the way over from the very beginning if you die. Screw you Arzest, and your BS boss design.

It’s really not a good boss fight I can confirm. It’s a shame that these bosses really make the game seem a lot worse than it actually is. At its best, it can be really fun. That being said, I try to follow the patterns with the webs. If it’s on you, move forward. If it’s not, wait for it to shoot, then jump over it. Be patient, and realize you don’t hVe to be in constant motion to dodge and analyze your next move

@SonicHubYT Thank you for the added insight. 🙏 My only problem is sometimes the nets will stay on the floor for a little bit, so as I'm running to dodge the one hit kill missiles, I'll run into the nets again and I either have to hope that I can jump high enough to get over them or that my reflexes are good enough to dodge the one hit kill missile. Usually it results in me dying LOL!

The best way to get under Fang in the first phase is to stand on the 'crack' at the top of the large hump that's on the 'right' side of it. Stand there, rev up a spin dash, and when he comes in on the one side he'll pause for the brief moment. That's when you release the spin dash. (Could be after he starts going again) but time that well and you'll get under him no problem every time.

In the first phase, when he does the attack with his ship crashing down. The best spot is to stop at the tallest slope, this will give you more flexibility to attack him.

When I was doing Trip’s Final Boss and I was going so fast that I think Fang was under the ground and I couldn’t hit him. This so heartbreaking for me because I was just going to be on the second phase and now I had to go through the entire zone again just to get back there

@12:32-.+With the variant with a red cursor on you, If you keep doing moving forward, it is possible for the red cursors to a line in such a way that it's physically impossible to not get caught in a web. It happens on inclines. Shut your trap.

Christ, I haven't even got to Trip's boss yet. Final Eggman was one of the most infuriating bosses I've ever played and I like to think I'm a seasoned Sonic player! Failing last minute due to a random last minute raised platform then having to start all over again! Not a fun challenge.

Timer is definitely meaningless. It doesn’t kill you when you hit the 10 minute mark in any stage, and it seems to have no effect.

The Final Boss fight for Classic Sonic is definitely really cool and the Final Boss for Classic Sonic is definitely hard. The Trip Final Boss fight is technically Classic Sonic Final Boss. I definitely think that the Final Boss for Classic Sonic is more difficult than the Trip Final boss fight but I honestly think that Trip and Classic Sonic Final Boss fight are both difficult. I hate how half Of the bosses in superstars require tou to wait. Compare these to the bosses from Sonic 3 and Knuckles, in that game you could hit bosses twice in a row and have some finesse while doing it. This is just Bad. You hit the boss and you have to wait so damn long to hit it again.

I beat Fang finally and finished Tripps story, it took many attempts but I got it done within the day. I also agree the bosses are ridiculously too hard. Idk if they expected little kids that are fans of Sonic to actually get through this or what

Honestly the hardest boss for Trip, at least for me, was the bird boss in Frozen Base Act 1. It took me literally days of trying and failing, and I only managed to beat it by carefully getting to it with enough rings to barely last the battle as Super Dragon Trip. I nearly gave up on the game because of it. Her final boss was nothing compared to that boss.

You can actually hit eggman in the weird gravity attack by floating over to him during it and going into ball form with jump saves a bit of time Also I love the fact there is no tell for the fact your supposed to hit him from behind in the first phase
