Hey one thing that helps when stealing it is have your phone out and call the bus driver. He will stop for about 4 seconds then you can steal it

I called for the bus, got off at the museum and as it turned around I stole it. This worked twice; once I got quickly apprehended by the cops, the second time success!

Go to the ski resort, call the bus, wait for it to close the doors and steal it while it tries to turn around and just back up. The rangers can’t get to you before you go to the next area but only if you back up. Trying to turn around takes too long

Why do you need to go to the Island with the bus? Although there is a bus station there you cannot take the bus to that spot. You can only use that bus station to have the bus take you there fast but you cannot drive it there as it does not fit in the ferry. (Do not ask how it takes you to the Island when you request it... MAGIC! 🪄 )
