Here in the philippines, to become a airline pilot you need to have a bachelors degree (4 years course) and you need to get PPL (private pilot license), CPL (commercial pilot license), and IR (instrument rating) and you need to have 250 flight hours before you can apply for an airline pilot job.

To get cpl(commercial pilot license) in India I suggest you to clear all the theory exams....1.technical general 2.air navigation 3.meteorology 4.air regulations and 5.rtr.....and then join a flying school either in India/abroad and complete your 200 hours flying. Because all the 5 theory papers are not so easy, some people might think of giving up after starting their course.....flying schools anywhere won’t refund your money back if you want to quit your course. There are separate institutions everywhere in India who offers ground classes for 1.5-2.5L. However all the theory papers are not very difficult any average student can clear these 5 papers.....good luck

Its always best to do the medical exam before you even apply for flight school.. The doctor will tell you if you can continue..

My mom is a vet doctor. Her salary is 1 lakh per month. And my father is unemployed. He has a business which due to covid is not going good. So even dreaming of becoming a commercial pilot gives me nightmares. And as we all know. Even pilots are unemployed. So I just can't think about becoming a pilot. Even if I'll become one. @@ManojAaryan-s9u I had to make my parents sell their 3bhk flat for pure money, my dad died before I became fully trained pilot after 8 years so now my mom puts her own 2bhk flat emi 25kms away from main city since I can't pay for her house which is very bad feeling I have, I have been earning since last two years but I get 20k in hand after giving emi of initial course and then airline training cost of type rating, I will be 37 by the time I will be done with all he personal loans for this, one very good thing I have done is not get married, pulls away concentration to get your dependancy removed from others, and after seeing so much money go haywire, I support court marriage. The second best thing was my mom was also an earning member of the family, no way this would have panned out with one salary. I also plan to save atleast two years full salary to stay stable since there are no jobs post covid and airlines around the world arey firing pilots not buying new aircrafts. Remember my initial comment 70lacs minimum gives you "only"QUALIFICATION TO APPLY FOR RECRUITMENT as a pilot for job,(you can't complain if airline is paying you zero salary in covid times while you have back end emis of +87k) after that you have to prove three times a year by scoring +80% each time to keep your license besides being medically fit

Thanks for the efforts to spread the knowledge.I have 1 query(quiet major)if I complete CPL from abroad and then at the time of applying for job in India will my 12th Mark's still be considered?Abroad most of the flying schools just ask for high school with physics and math and % doesn't matter,so if I complete CPL from US and then apply for a job in spicejet(say)will my marksheet still be reviewed even after having CPL? And for type rating will the airline deduct from salary/stipend or that also has to be paid like CPL? Awaiting an eager response. Thanks.

just passing in maths and physics in 12th is the minimum requirement from DGCA , but you need 55% to apply in IGRUA, one can become commercial pilot at just passing marks in 12th standard.
