Really helpful video! I am aestetic therapist qualified level 5 in aesthetics . I always wanted to be injector and its my biggest passion and was thinking to do level 6 and 7 however i am a bot concerned now that what if the uk regulations change what’s gonna happen to so many aestheticians performing injections. any advice what to do would be appreciated

How is this different from a dermatologist that specializes in injectables and skincare?

A dermatologist is a doctor who has specialised in skin disease so they are experts in skin cancer and conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. They can then decide if they would also like to train in injectables and skincare but this isn’t covered in their curriculum, they would have to do training like how I have mentioned in the video e.g. a level 7 diploma or otherwise! Hope this helps :)

Thank you for sharing, I’m a doctor based outside the Uk but would love to branch into cosmetic medicine in the UK what would you recommend, provided I get my licensure in the UK is it a must that I have to go through FY1 and FY2 ? Or is there any other alternative say take a master course then branch directly into cosmetic medicine.

As you’re already a doctor you should be able to skip FY1 and FY2 and go straight into cosmetic training :)

No worries, if you’re starting from scratch I would definitely recommend getting medical experience first otherwise you will find it even harder in this industry

@@devikarani6980 I found out and apparently if u had done your internship for one year (in India… I don’t know about the rest of the countries) then you need to appear for plab and go through only fy2
