Howes talks about winning vs. losing sometime around 31mins in terms of football. The end result may have been a win, but the series of plays that occurred during the game were ALL small wins or loses. Focus on each one in an effort to improve. That's the real win. This is a great conversation. If you don't get the outcome you want, even if you thought you "gave it your all" there's a tendency to re-evaluate in retrospect that you could have done more. Or you just have a crappy strategy that no amount of effort would give you a successful outcome. You have to learn from your effort for success to be a foregone conclusion. And defining learning as changing behavior is brilliant.

He's doing better, but the pieces are still being picked up. Now I try and climb this mountain of debt. I've been head down and now I need to try and change that.
