Finally, a program for women that is designed to help us build muscle, get stronger, become healthier and happier. Thank you for telling us that we are enough, and for your helping women on the journey to greater health. Ladies, let’s leave the lies we’ve been told for decades behind and become muscle mommies! 💪
@cherriercheung6 ай бұрын
No offense, but why do we need a program specifically for women? Why don’t we just use the classic MAPS anabolic? Don’t these guys spend years educating women that there’s literally no difference between men and women in terms of process and principles when it comes to building muscle, getting stronger and leaner, etc.? Ladies just fall into marketing so easily, don’t we? Someone saying this is designed specifically for ladies must mean there’s some secret sauce!

I started to focus on building muscle as I learned it would be greatly beneficial while in perimenopause and beyond. I didn't start seeing gains until I stopped trying to limit calories, stayed off the scale, cut back my intermittent fasting time (stopped working out fasted), and ate carbs (berries) to fuel my workouts. I'm 49 and curling 30lb dumbbells. I love my glutes now and can see my abs for the first time ever. I workout at home with dumbbells and bands. It can be done ladies.

I really appreciate what was said about women not always being listened to, when we know something is off with our bodies. 2 years ago, I went numb from the waist down. At the time, I was walking 6 miles a day and strength training 3 days a week. I went to the Dr and was laughed at and told I have slight anterior pelvic tilt, and need to exercise more. My body started locking up mid squat, I experience loss of balance and random leg spasms. A few months ago, I was finally sent for an MRI by a different doctor. I have a narrowing spinal canal that is crushing my nerves and I see a spinal surgeon on 6/7. If one doctor won't listen, please please get multiple opinions.

So happy you found a doctor that listened to you. You have a treatable condition that could have been made worse. I made my mom change doctors 20 years ago because her doctor dismissed her complaints, saying she was just depressed. Turns out she had vascular dementia, one of the symptoms is apathy/depression. I pray you have a full successful recovery.

44yo and mom of 2 kiddos over here - Ex runner and definitely going thru early stages of peri, which training for and running my last 1/2 marathon 2 years ago made my peri symptoms go wild that I thought I was losing my mind. I just finished Maps15 last week and yesterday my Dexa showed that I built some upper body muscle and lost fat, stayed the same in lower body for both fat/muscle but gained fat/lost muscle in my trunk. My overall weight stayed the same but my body fat % went up 2% 😢My periods have been off the past 2 months too so I think lifting 6 days a week (even if it was for 15-20mins), increased my body’s stress levels and made it hard for it to metabolize estrogen so it stored it as belly fat. Started Anabolic this morning and adding DIM as a supplement daily to see if makes any difference with estrogen metabolizing better. Maybe this new program would be better than anabolic at this point? IDK 🤷🏻♀️

I think it depends on where you live. I was in Chicago in the 80s and 90s and all of my female friends were into strength training. We had lots of great gyms downtown and we all read Shape and Muscle & Fitness. We did cardio, too.

I just bought MAPS15..... I'm excited to try Muscle Mommy! What an amazing name... thank you for creating this❤...May I ask what's the difference between the Starter bundle and this Muscle mommy? Tysm

LOVE the branding for this program. It took me a long time to get into lifting as a female bc I’d go to the gym and be super intimidated by all these guys lifting super heavy. I’m a newer listener but your channel definitely helped. One question I have about your programs: is it better to do specific ones (including this one) in a bulk or a cut? And is body recomposition as a beginner possible?

So excited to get this program! Question though in phase 2 of anabolic should I go do performance after or straight to muscle mommy?😁😁

Is this program for the gym or at home workouts with dumbbells?

So far what I see is that you can do it at home. I just bought it and have a bar and dumbbells and some equipment at home.
