Hi everyone! I have been getting asked this question a lot - How do you become a plumber?!
Well before you become a plumber you have to be an apprentice!
I tried to be as in depth in as short of a time period as possible.
Please comment down below any further advice if you’re already an apprentice, or if you’re a journeyman wanting to throw some wisdom at us!
Thanks so much for watching!

Good luck with your apprenticeship! Plumber is a trade you can take all over world. There’s always somebody who wants water moved from one point to another.

Going to have to share this video. There is a lady in Orlando right is working as a helper. I think this would boost her confidence. We just heard they would like to make her supervisor. She is able to speak 2 languages. I hope you and her keep up the good. Need more women like yall.

great video i started with both the company i work for does both. First guy i was working with did service which in my opinion is the best to start with only because it gets you to practice you're critical thinking so you get into the habit of thinking outside the box so if you get into commercial you know what some of the short comings are for somethings so you can prevent or make it easier for the next guy . But commercial is great because you get more hands on and you get to see how to install it to todays standers. but sold video lots of good pointers for someone new lord knows the first few years are the hardest.

Ana? What's better go to trade school or try the union? I'm kind of torn because I like the fact the union will basically give me free plumbing school but I'm very concerned about being laid off as that seems to be a issue in their organization. So I am thinking trade school then go work for an open shop.

Do you have to do any course work in Nevada? I’m a plumber I’m Montana. We have 7500 working hours and 15 text books. Once we completed our text books we graduated from the apprenticeship program and are eligible to take the final exam (UPC) and practical exam. After that you just pay for your license. Good luck with your apprenticeship! I really enjoyed mine but I’m glad to be done!

Union is ok if you want a good wage doing same thing every job basically a 9-5. If you want more out of life go in the private sector work your butt off get your license start your own company the pay off is huge!

So your pretty much saying you can’t start your own business and be union??? You make no sense. You think every union contractor is huge corporation. How the hell you think majority of them started??? One or two guys taking a chance. According to you the only way to make it is be non union.

@@fitter5423 Why the hell would I want to start a business with union employees? HELL NO. Worked in a union when I was younger and fat lazy guys could never be fired because of "muh seniority".... never again. Never met so many lazy people in all my life. I own my own business (Master RMP Texas) and I will retire a millionaire.

Step 1: Move to New Zealand or Australia I'm in New Zealand lol moneys in Australia. Step 2: Go to a local plumbing outlet and and ask if plumbers are looking for workers Step 3 Wait to be contacted because someone will take you on no matter what experience you have work ethic is key. Step 4: Once your hired roll around in feces to prove you want to remain hired. Jk Step 5 after your 3 month trial and your employer fully accepts you into the company go out and celebrate because your on your way to becoming a master plumber, gas fitter and drain layer until u get sick nd tired of working for some else and start your own company. You are now successful and during the space of your training you walk through rich peoples houses to do thier plumbing so don't forget mistakes.
