hi there! i’m currently in my second year of community college w my major as nursing but i’ve always felt that nursing wasn’t for me. i noticed however that i love psychology and i fell in love with it when i had to take PSY101 as a prereq for nursing. ever since then, i would do my own research about in the field which led more into mental health. it just hit me today that i would consider and i can see myself being a therapist helping people out and listening to them, but i wanted to know the route in order to get there. it seems like a lot im not going to lie, and i’m not sure how i’ll bring it up to my parents about me changing my career! but i can see myself doing it i’m 19 years old

Hi!! this video was so useful, im just wondering what graduate university you chose? I'm really confused regarding what university's offer programs that will lead to a job as a psychotherapist in a private practice, even if you could share various options because after researching online and finding so many options and its a bit overwhelming and confusing to know which options are viable.

Heeeyyy, yes it is possible. I worked full time and completed the program full time- I switched from a 9-5 to a job that was flexible with its hours in order to both work and complete my masters full time.

Working outside of the field provided a nice break from learning about therapy and applying therapy in my practicum. First year i worked as a manager in retail and 2nd year, while doing my practicum, i took the entrepreneur route
