I work in the same office as Grant does. We have different jobs, at different companies. I can tell you from knowing him, he works tirelessly. He's not there to be just average.

#facts. Average effort does not produce exceptional results.

What is he spending all his time doing, cold calls all day?
@dustinowen1191 Жыл бұрын
@@ryangalligan1040 I don't suspect cold calls. He is calling is database of referral partners, COI and past clients. He is scheduling meetings, inviting folks to events and ask for referrals. His "cold calls" are warm calls as he is reaching out those he has some type of connection with. (i.e. listing agents, the financial advisor of a recent client, a co-worker of an agent he already works with etc.

It’s annoying that the host never seems to let his guests talk. He just talks over the top of them and spends 3/4 of more of the podcast talking himself and only very rarely letting his guest speak.

Totally drives me nuts …. He should just interview himself

Appreciate you watching the interview! Want to provide a little context on my end for some perspective as I see a couple comments on this matter. This was the first time I’ve ever done a podcast or interview at this scale. It may be hard to tell, but I was extremely nervous and my brain was rattled when the camera started rolling. Dustin had the EQ to pick up on it right away and led the convo how I needed him - in a major way. Him commanding the conversation early on was absolutely pivotal for me and allowed me to ease in, relax all my nerves, and collect my thoughts. Otherwise, I could have been a disaster if he opened it up to me early. He is very sharp and knew to control the conversation - you’ll notice about 10mins in to the video he kicks the can over and lets me speak more and more as I gained comfort. Thankful for the opportunity and grateful to Dustin to have the confidence in me to bring me on the show! Amazed to see all the viewers and positive feedback this episode has seen!

Can't relate to this whatsoever but good for him. I am a nomad and don't know a single person in Charlotte...moved here from LA during covid. Do a podcast on how to build a business when you know absolutely no one lol.

Whats the difference between mortgage broker and mortagge loan officer at retail?
@dustinowen1191 Жыл бұрын
A broker sends the borrower's file to a 3rd party to underwrite and fund the loan. A mortgage banker (retail LO) underwrites and funds the loan themselves. Ultimately, all loans are delivered into the secondary market the same way and to the same investors.
