I have been a freelancer for the last 7-8 years but mostly work in digital designing like banners and posts for social media, blogs, and E-commerce websites. I loved the way Sapta has explained how great it is to be a generalist rather than niching down at only one skill. It's been a conflict in my mind as to whether stick with all the work I do now or I should try my hands-on UI/UX and everything else design has to offer. Thanks for sharing it Ishan. @@GAMER-tt1qj Here is the grand tip of all. Wake up early everyday. Start everyday by making a plan for the day first. Decide what you will work on and what you will leave. And then throughout the day follow it religiously. Do not allow yourself to take a break if you haven’t met your goal. Success is a habit. And to achieve big things in life you need to achieve small targets everyday. That is how all great things are achieved. I also mentor students and I have seen that young people overthink wrong things. And really underestimate the value of discipline. They feel that people who are more successful know something that they don’t. Its not true. You know everything you need to know already so just believe in yourself. Its just about being consistent everyday and that is something only and only you can achieve. Hope that helps.

Brothers and sisters please 🙏 if you think ux and ui design is easy then don't even try.. There are no shortcuts! You need to work hard everyday. 200,000 new people join bootcamps and courses every month only 30,000 finish them.. And that's only rhe begining.. What you learn in the course is just the beginning.. And design is an ever growing field.. New trends pop every day.. New metrics, new systems. I'm not telling you it's bad to become one.. It's just that you need to take a step back and figure out whether you really want to become one? P. S. 5 years is the minimum experience for most companies to hire you as a junior designer nowadays. I've been doing ux/Ui since 2019 and I know the actual industrial standard. Please 🙏 choose wisely.

Hey Shubham, that's a good question. So a designer should have good communication skills, empathetic towards the user and should consider whether the design can be developed in real life and is it user-friendly. Where as in front end web development you will be given the design and you are expected to create a website using that design as a blue print. You don't need a lot of communication skills compared to a designer but you will need to have good coding skills especially in JavaScript and ReactJS. So after reading this I am sure you can make the right choice. Note: Dont let the salaries for these roles be the deciding factor on whether you want to become a UX designer or a web developer. Instead, ask yourself whether you enjoy doing design or you love coding.

Then you can go, I chose UX design because I like to design the look and feel of the website rather than coding something which is given to me. So that's how I decided between front end and ux design. My thought process might be wrong but I am happy with my decision.
