Anyone that is stuck looking for it or doesnt have it after listening to the first tape by the suitcase, from the entrance, take a left and walk that way where the deathclaw nest is and you will find a pile of trash. Its in there. then proceed to the elevator and play the tape.

i try to make this the very first questline i do as soon as i start a new character. if i dont fast travel i can usually have a decent enough beginner build to complete the entire questline before doing anything else. the rewards are enough to make the rest of the entire game a total breeze and i never have to spend any time grinding outside of quests.

The funny thing is that I always do this quest on a character because I always go all the way through the 1.0 storyline before moving on to the Wastelanders storyline. This is a mandatory part of the 1.0 storyline.

I had the same problem, then read somewhere that using the service entrance makes it much easier, and it does. Run straight, turn right at the end, run through the red area to blue stairs, turn left and voila.

I'm brand new to the game and the rosie quests really pissed me off because I started getting the feeling that fallout 76 was just a series of padded collection quests due to Rosie constantly sending me out for more missions instead of just giving me what the hell I needed from her. She even taunts you that she could have given you the info a long time ago breaking the 4th wall of how the game devs are just wasting your time grinding!

The areas that you had the marsupial serum for the jumping you can get without it. At the building go around back and there's some machinery you can jump on and hop on the fence to reach the fire escape thing. Gotta jump to the broken gate and onto the fence and then I was able to hop around to the fire escape. In the bunker you can hop on the fridge to the ceiling fan and on up to that button as well

For the commendations.. can’t you get those by killing legendary enemies as well? I would’ve swore that was how I got mine to get general. Pretty sure I got it that way by killing spookies during that event. Which, isn’t going on right now but it’s not that difficult to find legendary enemies. Sorry if this is incorrect, just wanted to throw it out there just incase. Also, for the basic training course. If you’re mutated, it’s best to just pretend like you’re not and don’t try to just jump over every obstacle.

That agility course os a PAIN. So i had to put a bunch of my stuff in a box so i could run, and finally got through the cpurses and was on the last wave of the live fire....and got disconnected from the server....and LOST EVERYTHING....clothes, progress, and all. First off, great content as always! I must have encountered a glitch, whenever I pick up the holotape, I listen to it and then it prompts me to look for the bypass tape. I’ve even tried listening to the holotape in the elevator close to the panel. Nothing… never says complete so I can move on.

Also.. did you collect your free enclave weapon from that quest line? Because it’s possible that it has a flamer barrel already on it. Now, not sure if you can get the aligned flamer barrel but it’s definitely possible to get a enclave rifle with a flamer barrel on it and it still wrecks enemies.

To be more specific, Modus gives it to you I think around half way through the quest line after you complete a little mission or something and you pick it up from a dispenser. It also will not say flamer in the weapon title, you have to inspect it and look at the weapon part loadout thing to see which barrel it has.

Marksmanship task at 12:12 is extremely difficult and seems impossible to finish on PC platform. Anyone else notice there is not enough time to shoot all the targets when using PC platform for Fallout 76? The only quests that you have to be careful with are the questlines for the Raiders and Settlers leading up to rading Vault 76. You want to complete both up to the point of picking who to raid the vault with. Infact that's the easy way to miss the free Stealth Suit plans or the 1 of a kind t-51 steelmill pa helmet.

Im a level 50 ....i cant fight 2 death claws .i ran into 1 i had to run for my life. Normal scorched be alot of trouble .maybe i need to start over or give up.idk anymore.

I waited till I was level 65 before I encountered those two Deathclaws. I wore Power Armor (which I strongly recommend. If you have the perk card which allows you to use Fusion cores longer, that's a huge plus) and a .50 heavy machine gun (I think that's the right name? It's that huge machine gun that definitely takes .50 type ammo. If you don't have that, then the light machine gun (with the .308 type ammo) is also really good against Deathclaws. For the .50 machine gun, it takes about 200 to 250 bullets to kill each Deathclaw (so about 400 to 500 to kill both). When entering the cave where the Deathclaws are, sneak in wearing the Power Armor and while crab walking / sneak walking, SLOWLY approach the first one you see from the cliff that's on the left. When he sees you, do a tactical retreat and go back near the entrace (not at the entrance but close to the entrance but where the area is open so you have enough room to move around when fighting). Staying closer to the entrance and NOT going deep into the cave kept the second Deathclaw from waking up (the 2nd Deathclaw was still sleeping). Try to kill the 1st Deathclaw near the entrance or around that area. Don't go too deep in the cave or else the 2nd Deathclaw will wake up and then they will double team you (that's really BAD. You want to try to avoid that). Try to kill the first Deathclaw while the other sleeps. When you kill the first Deathclaw, sneak very slowly deeper into the cave. You will see a metal platform and an elevator to the front. To your right is the sleeping 2nd Deathclaw (you should see him laying on the ground sleeping). Go to your left and find the dead body of the agent in a deep corner. Grab his info off his dead corpse. There should be a nest close to where he is (just a few inches from his body). Grab the holotape from the nest. You need that to operate the elevator. Once you have everything, sneak towards the elevator. There is a 90% chance the 2nd Deathclaw will wake up when you get close to the ramp leading to the elevator. Honestly, if he wakes up, you can try to run around him, go up the ramp, enter the elevator, play the Holotape to operate the elevator, and go down the elevator. 80% chance the Deathclaw will not be smart enough to follow you to the elevator, but there is a 20% chance he could, so be careful. If you do decide to fight him, be aware he is "Legendary status" so have plenty of Stimpacks with you (and hopefully your Power Armor still has powered up Fusion cores and you have at least 200 to 250 of the .50 machine gun ammo or at least TONS of the .308 ammo. I guess you can use other type of weapons like a missile launcher. But I found the machine guns (especially the .50 with tons of bullets) to be the most effective. ALSO... ALTERNATE STRATEGY: Use a Stealth Boy item to quickly sneak through the cave, grab the stuff off the dead agent and nest (the Bypass holotape from the nest is mandatory to get that elevator working), and get to that elevator and get the hell out of there. The Stealth boys don't last long, so you will either have to have more than one or try to complete everything in 30 or 60 seconds once you turn it on (might have to run like crazy if it runs out before you get to that elevator). ALSO, I haven't gotten this yet, but I heard there is stealth armor somewhere (I think in the later missions you have to help the settlers in that entire settlers vs raider story arc??? I heard that one of the settlers at Foundation can sell you the plans for it, but it's expensive and it's after you complete the settler portion of the settlers vs raiders story arc. Might be easier and faster and cheaper to use a Stealth boy item for the cave with two Deathclaws).

It seems there are some hidden oddities and performance problems in the game especially if using PC platform and if the internet connection is not extremely good. For example, it seems that many video streamers playing Fallout 76 either have an extremely good internet connection, usually play with game consoles, and have very smooth responses to their inputs. When I play I often get irregular responses from the controls.
