I think sridar babu didnt know about Karthik adapa who passed civils services in the same year with 1st rank and secured highest marks as well as 1st rank in that year. Dr. Karthik Adapa from Andhra Pradesh scored highest marks ever in the UPSC exam till date.  Adapa Karthik IAS marks: Mains written exam: 1236/2000 Personality test marks: 222/300 Total marks: 1458/2300 Dr. Adapa Karthik had been selected for the Indian Police Service in 2005 and 2007. Though, in his third attempt, his willpower to become an IAS officer made him the All India Rank topper in UPSC Civil services IAS Exam 2008. Karthik dedicated 6-8 hours a day. He stressed not in the number of hours but the quality and constancy of his studies. He was very consistent with his reading. Zoology and Psychology were his optional subject for UPSC Civil Services IAS Mains exam. He fetched total marks of 1458 in 2300. He scored 63.3% marks in UPSC IAS Exam.
