Adapa Karthik IAS marks: Mains written exam: 1236/2000 Personality test marks: 222/300 Total marks: 1458/2300 Dr. Adapa Karthik had been selected for the Indian Police Service in 2005 and 2007. Though, in his third attempt, his willpower to become an IAS officer made him the All India Rank topper in UPSC Civil services IAS Exam 2008. Karthik dedicated 6-8 hours a day. He stressed not in the number of hours but the quality and constancy of his studies. He was very consistent with his reading. Zoology and Psychology were his optional subject for UPSC Civil Services IAS Mains exam. He fetched total marks of 1458 in 2300. He scored 63.3% marks in UPSC IAS Exam. I Hope Addanki Sridhar Babu garu secured 2nd highest marks in mains but not the highest marks ever..may be highest marks ever from AP...

Really excellent and motivational to all young people. But one percent is wrong ..that is your father said '' go out from home when you are not in 3rd class and 7th class''. If there are 30 students in class, only one will get first..fathers of remaining 29 students should ask their child to go out from home'' . This conveys wrong message to parents/would be parents.

I admire sir for his hard work and perseverance... I too am an aspirant...but the thing is even after cracking this toughest exam how many of these IAS officers have really been successful in eradicating corruption? and actually many are themselves corrupt? the problem in our country is many parents feel proud if children just crack iits or ias or whatever...feel proud for the achievements in your service done instead!! isnt it correct?

I'm having a doubt, I'm preparing for Civil Examination, I want to become IAS, bcz I love my country, to serve the Society my passion is to serve for the India.
