Becoming an Orthopaedic Surgeon in Germany is not as easy as it seems and you have to work really hard to be successful in this field. The orthopaedic surgery training program has rigorous physical and mental demands because you might have to work long hours, have irregular shift times, deal with life or death situations, and provide patient care under stressful conditions.
Germany is one of the most beautiful countries in the world for education. You can find well-known universities, great international schools and research institutions in Germany. The country has been at the forefront of scientific development for centuries and is continuing to do so today. It's no wonder that millions of students decide to study here every year .

Hello doctor, Congratulations on becoming a Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon. Regarding the new hurdle for PG in Germany that requires license from country of graduation. Below rule is in Finland (EU member state). This might be a solution that You may recommend to German medical council to consider. “If your basic medical training does not qualify you to practise as an independent medical professional in the country where you completed your training, then you must work as a physician in Finland on a limited licence to practise for 2 years before you can be legalised as a physician.” I will be very grateful to you, if you could suggest this as it’s already a rule in a EU state. Thank You 🙏🏻

Hello, is it required to have a 6-12 minimum internship post graduate from mbbs? A consultant told me if I finish 6 years in Serbia I can directly come to Germany no internship and no knowledge exam, just language test. Is this true? Some say you need internship and to work after in the study country, please clarify. Thanks.

First, I would like to congratulate you for this. Can you please make a video about the exam that you passed, even if I didn't start yet my residency, im interested. I'm a 6th year med student, and I want to do my residency in either Orthopedic or cardiology in Germany; I would like to know, were you stressed at the beginning ? what did you "study" before starting your residency, book support? Amboss? if you can make a video about how did you prepare the FSP, it would be perfect; thank you very much

Greetings, First of all, congratulation for your achievement! I am a 6th year medical student currently studying in Europe, and aspiring to ,perhaps one day, work in the fields of the orthopedics as yourself. I have one core question, and that is regarding the german system of combining traumatology with orthopedics. While traumatology is also a wonderful profession, I had larger desire to specialized towards orthopedics. When I recently learned that orthopedics and traumatology is combined, it felt daunting to learn to specializations. Here’s a core question as a Facharzt, is it possible to specialize more towards orthopedics and focus less on traumatology, or does a orthopedic Facharzt always have to treat traumatology cases as well (especially if a facharzt decides to start private practice) I have been watching your vids since I was in 3rd year, and you’ve been great beacon highlighting my pathway towards Germany, and I sincerely thank you for that from the bottom of my heart!

Thank you for your kind words. the training till Facharzt is common for Trauma and Orthopedics, however after the Facharzt you can choose to work in the field of your Interest. Various options are : Traumasurgery, Endoprothetics, Spine, Hand, Pediatric Orthopedics. About me, I worked 3 years in Trauma, 3 years in Endoprosthetics,, and now after Facharzt plan to pursue a career in Endoprosthetics. One can also get into private practice in this field.

the surgical training in general is very slow in Germany, it depends hugely upon the hospital where you are working. You usually operate more in final years of training and get really busy operating after the Facharztexam.

@docdeemishra
@docdeemishra 8 ай бұрын
for fellowship in germany, you can directly write to the head of the departments in various hospitals. In Germany- Fellowship will be same as Observership- Since you wont have german license- can treat patients on your own- however you will be able to scrub in the Operations and Assist and learn.
