The thing is that I spend money buying connects and I spend a lot of time applying for jobs. Can you please make a video about how to avoid scammer job posts? @@JoshBurnsTech Hi, thank you for your reply & advice. Actually, I want to know, suppose On my main profile title has "WordPress & E-commerce Expert" and I have a specialized profile about "Mailchimp Email Marketing Expert " Do I have to put Mailchimp Keyword in my Main profile title or just will have it on the specialized profile title? Thank you🥰
@JoshBurnsTech Жыл бұрын
@@asantamzid Good question! No, you don't have to include the skill on both profiles. However, if it's one of your popular skills (in titles of your jobs) then you could include it on both profiles. Especially since it appears that the skill relates to both profiles.

SMM requires "NO EXPERIENCE" you say and then you mention about a big list of skill sets required for which Im sure clients will ask for proof of work. Then why such clickbaity title? Also 434 dollars per day? Wonder which client is paying SMM that much especially when they want cheap labor done these days by outsourcing these things for like 5 or 7 dollars per hour.
@JoshBurnsTech Жыл бұрын
1. You don't need to work for a company to learn how to do those tasks. I personally know self-taught SMMs who got started with no "real world" experience. 2. It sounds like you left this comment before watching 4:49
@shivinunitholi2493 Жыл бұрын
@@JoshBurnsTech First of, no client is gonna hire you and pay you big bucks without you showing "real-world experience" in your portfolio. Also, I did watch the full video and you have only shared screenshots of a handful of SMMs who are charging like 40-70 dollars but those folks Im sure have huge experience in the given area of specialization. That really does not add up to 434 dollars/day for anyone who'd want to start offering SMM services on platforms like Upwork. And anyway, you will have to pay from your pockets as a newbie on Upwork to buy more connects in order to send more proposals to get that first client as you only get 13 free connects for an entire month.
@JoshBurnsTech Жыл бұрын
@@shivinunitholi2493 There are many other ways to gain experience without working full-time or part-time for a company. If you watched the video, you would know that. There are many ways to build a portfolio. You're right, I did only show a few freelancers because the video would have been over an hour if I went though all of the high paid SMMs on Upwork. Regarding connects, yes a lot of new freelancers waste connects. That's why it's important that you understand how to find the best jobs and opportunities. Again, something else that I showed how to do in this video. The truth is, new freelancers make life changing money on Upwork all the time. But freelancing is not for everyone. It takes a lot of discipline and work to build a consistent client base. Either way, thanks for sharing your opinion and perspective. I appreciate feedback, both positive and negative.
@shivinunitholi2493 Жыл бұрын
@@JoshBurnsTech I've tried content writing service on Upwork and have tried all so called "expert opinion" on how to write personalized proposals. I had only one client reach out over the last 18 months. Despite having a 5 star review I had no other client revert offering me any work. Also you're being too presumptive when you say newbies waste connects. There are jobs that cost you 8 connects. Now that you have only 13 free connects for a whole month, you might be able to apply only for 2-3 jobs in one month. How is that considered "wasting connects"? Lets get real. Newbies find it super difficult to make money on Upwork. I say that from first hand experience. The handful few who make money on Upwork do not represent the majority. Its good to be practical than selling dreams online.
@JoshBurnsTech Жыл бұрын
@shivinunitholi2493 Like I said before, I personally know numerous new freelancers are are making great money on Upwork. The cost of the freelancer plus membership (80 connects per month) or buying connects is still more than worth it if you consider the time and cost involved with finding non-platform clients. After building a reputation on the platform then clients start coming to you. But, freelancing isn't for everyone. I wish you the best in your future endeavors. 👍
