This is hard for me. As a struggling artist, my mum recently added me to their bank accounts in case something happens. Because I'm computer savvy, I realized I could pay all my bills from my dad's Capital One account and no one would ever know. It's been so hard, but I haven't done it. I know this is a test. I love my mum and dad.

Sitting here in tears. I did have passion and followed my dreams despite my family objecting every step of the way. I was a talented artist, went to art school and made a great living off it. I bought a farm and was living the dream. After a few terrible relationships with narcissists they completely knocked me off course. I gave up my art, got my grad degree to teach and have failed miserably. Couldn't even land one interview! I now know that was never my calling. My life is not over but I need to rebuild my life. I want to go back to my art but overwhelmed with fear. Let me say it's tough to make it as an artist...you need to have amazing talent to survive. I wanted a stable job but can't find one. The whisper is now a scream...I need to go back to my art. I know what I need to do, God please help me do it.

Sounds corney, "touchy feely" but her show helped me in so many ways. I don't know if the people who are on this channel are open minded or homophobic, but I came out to my mother because of a show Oprah had on adoption and there was a nice gay couple who spoke about adoption. It was great, inspiring and I like her, so there. My mother appreciated my honesty , never fully accepted it but nevertheless. Thank you Oprah!

Oprah's advice on "finding who you really are" helps me skyrocket in my early career. A month and a half ago, I applied her advice to my life, and it led me to a job that I actually love. The job that describes me. And secondly "service". I filled my day to day life with service to my parents, and after that, I came back to focus on becoming more of "who I am". It led to satisfaction in my life. I had been trying to get a job as a fresh graduate for almost a year as an artist. Applying those 2 things into my life has completely transformed my life into something new. Something that has a purpose. You know who you are. You know what to do.

Great Video! Great advice! And yes, Oprah is to be admired for her achievements in life! My favorite saying by Oprah is quote: follow your passion, and do what you were meant to do because you love what you do. Believe in yourself, have fun, and always share with others less fortunate. Find a way to serve. "Do not compare yourself to other people, because "you" are on this planet to be yourself. And finally, only you can move yourself forward! That my dearest Evan, is what I am trying to do. I am 71 years young, and a few years ago I went into cardiac arrest during surgery... my surgeon accidentally punctured both my lungs... and I was dead. When I awoke in ICU three days later, I wasn't myself, I had changed. It was as if someone else had entered into my body. During my life-time, I have owned a Hair -Salon for over 34 years in Houston, and still do to this day. I have also been an active day trader- swing trader in the stock market, and have been quite successful over the years. I have always been a risk taker. What I did NOT do, was to read Romance Novels. Never had time to read them. However, right after my mishap in the hospital, I had the urge to write, as if I had been a writer all my life. The urge was so strong I couldn't fight it. To date I have written over 12 novels, with two full length Historical Romance Novels, that I am hoping will be turned into movies some day down the road. One novel in print on Amazon is called "The Hacienda" and the other novel in print is called... "Las Palma" the rest of my novels are on Kindle. I know I am aiming high, however, that is my nature. I try to be the best that I can be! So, I hope the universe is watching, and give me a helping hand. You never know what you can accomplish until you try. Sincerely, TB Riggs.

What Oprah said that really stood out for me was the fact that 1. I need to take responsibility. 2. It is important to service 3. To Solve a problem see through it and then transform it. To many times we want to cover it up it is important to transform it so that it can become contagious. 4. To Join forces and Form Something greater! Now a days every one is about the I when it is important to join forces and talk about the Whole as Humanity.
