There are different bed log rules In 3.19. You can't bed log in an armistice zone like a station, city, or outpost. You can't bed log while in combat, or if you have a passenger onboard. Outside those limitations you can bed log anywhere else, on the planet surface, around a planet, or drop out of quantum and bed log in the middle of space.

@@jivadaya6439 the simplest answer is you can't bedlog if you are in an armistice zone (if there is a logo in the top right of a bullet with a no symbol around it) and you can't bedlog while friends are on board. That's it.

Where did you log out at? Can you log out on a moon or planet? Theres something about logging out in bed outside a station. Can you log out anywhere in space? Not sure. Thanks for another video!

Good questions, I'll need to record an updated version of this video. The main basics are still the same however there have been changes to where and when you can bed log... You can log out on planets and moons, near planets and moons and pretty much anywhere in space, dropping out of QT at a random location is pretty safe. However if you're too close to a station or outpost/poi you won't be able to bed log and you'll get a message blocking you from logging out. Also if you have a passenger on board you won't be able to bed log, so time to open a airlock and escorts them out 😂

@@JDSMeowKitty_Gaming So you can't logout too close to a station. But what about if you land in a hangar, could you log out then? Is bed logging the only way to log out? I was thinking about getting the Mustang Alpha starter ship, but it doesn't have a bed.

Question, when you bed log is your ship visible to others while you are out or does it disappear until you log back in?

@BlueOvals24 You can't bed log when you've landed in a hangar ... but if you were to land in a hangar and then quit you would log back in at that station you just landed (Or the last station hailed) and in the residence bed. In regard to the Mustang Alpha, with the size of the current universe being only one star system, the Alpha is quite sufficient as you can land at a nearby station and just log out. I find the Alpha much better for Atmospheric combat compared to the Aurora as it has wings, but the Aurora can handle itself well enough in space combat and has the added benefit of bed logging. Now that the Alpha can carry cargo, or a person in a suit, it has opened up gameplay opportunities quite a bit ... until a wing gets blown off 😛

@@Dezz005 If you bed log with no one around your ship, your ship will despawn with you and spawn back in when you log in, however if another player is nearby it will hang around for a while... during this time your ship could be destroyed or looted. And if you're in combat, you can't bed log at all.

When i log back i spawn at center of system, in the sun, how can this be fixed?

I haven't had this issue happen for quite some time in recent patches... In the past I would generally be logged back in next to the sun if I logged out at or close to a point of interest such as an outpost, or in orbit around a planet. Even now I make sure to travel a bit away from POI's a bit before logging when on a planet or moon, and in space I usually quantum away from a planet a short distance and disengage the QT drive and then log. Hi, new player here. The game doesn't appear to let you log out in a friends ship. Party member bought an Aegis Hammerhead with several beds, and trying to log out just results in a "Do not own ship" and it won't let you log out. Am I doing something wrong? And what's the point of having a ship with multiple beds if only the owner of the ship can use one? I don't understand.

Hello, these instructions were for patch version 3.17 and earlier and are mostly still accurate in 3.18, you used to be able to log out at any time in anyone's ship....however with persistent entity streaming (PES) introduced in 3.18 they have been messing around with how bed logging works ... Currently you can't log out in another players ship or when another person is in your ship. I believe this is expected to be fixed in the future and allow multiple crew to bed log in multi crew ships. But that's a "watch this space" case.

this doesnt work in the hangers anymore, only gives you the option to get up, the log out option is predicated by a message saying youre in the hanger. also cant logout from the bed while flying through space, the error message says you have to land the ship. the weird thing is sometimes it will let you logout using the bed while flying. there doesnt seem to be a rhyme or reason for why it does or does not allow you to logout in specific situations.

Yes you're right! They've made quite a few changes since I made this video, you can no longer log out in Hangars or armistice zones, you can't log out if there is a body or player on board, I got a new one saying I could log out because there was a ship in my landing zone...that one stayed around even when I flew into outer space so I'm pretty sure it was a bug. I haven't had too many bugs bed logging in space even with cruise on, but I'm pretty sure you can't log out hovering in Atmosphere anymore but I'll have to test that out some more.

It's preferred to log out in space, just pick a destination to quantum jump to, drop out of quantum in the middle of space and log out... In the latest patch you can't log out while you're in quantum. There's also quite a few ships that are bugged right now and won't let you bed log at all.

You can say "te amo" to your girlfrend, but if you say "te quiero" to your friend its not than strange. Sorry my english is horrible but i hope you understand.

Did you exit to menu through the esc menu, or did you use the log out option from the bed? If you used the esc menu you'll be logged back in from the last station or city you were at. If you bed logged correctly it sounds like you got a glitch I haven't experienced... Usually if the bed log messes up it puts you next to the sun in your ship, not at a station or city.

There have been a number of changes since I created this video, and there are now things that prevent you logging out e.g. if you have another body on board. I'll need to make an updated version of this video.
